NFL Cuts

Post#1 » by heir_jordan22 » Sun Sep 4, 2011 4:15 am

There are several players available that other teams have cut and I think we could discuss players that would fit on the Bears.

Offenive Line: O'hara, Gurode, Davis are all older but have proven to be very good players. Especially Gurode who has made the last five pro bowls.

Defensive Line: The one guy I can think of immediately is Alex Brown. He would be our third defensive end until Wootton comes back, then he would be our fourth.

Secondary: Brandon Meriweather was just cut . He made the last two pro bowls and is very young. He would be an instant upgrade over Wright. Kelvin Hayden is still on the market but his injury may have proven to be overwhelming.

Can you guys think of anyone out there? In an ideal world I would also rplace Roy Williams with TO.

I wouldn't be interested in any of those except Meriweather. That said, Patriot fans seem to be very happy he's gone and use the term "fraud" to describe him quite often - so who knows. I'm not a big fan of judging guys based on pro bowl selections. I certainly don't want Alex Brown. He was done a year ago & did nothing for the Saints last season.

Well there you go. I wonder what the corresponding roster move will be. Steltz or Venable, I'd assume

We got a safety, fellas. I actually like the move.
