I don't see what is odd about keeping 5 TEs. They used in so many different ways. Besides, we kept 3 FBs and 4 TEs last year so we actually gained a roster spot at those two positions.

TBH, it wouldn't surprise me at all if we used a two TE set with one of them playing an H-back role if Kuhn got hurt. The way MM operates, we really don't need another traditional FB. Crabby was a lead blocker a lot last year. Q has also done it. Taylor can apparently do it in a pinch, but I don't recall him doing it in the PS. We also run plenty of 2 TE sets where the blocking TE is lined up inline with Finley being wherever.

Too early to be concerned since we don't know who TT might pick up off the waiver wire. But I do share McGinn's concern that we only have 14 lineman on the roster and one FB. I just feel like we are one good O lineman and one good D lineman short here from being able to be that team that goes 16-3 and repeats.

Not too concerned about an unbalanced roster because we kept players that have potential and are tradable assets if we have an injury. Besides, it seems like every year there are usefull players like Walden and Green available.

I'm not sure why we would need 7 DL on the active roster. Even with 6, we'll likely have one of them as inactive every week. We'll probably have a couple DL on the PS. I would guess that we'll also have a new interior OL on the active roster shortly, with another on the PS.

We really don't need to waste a roster spot on a 2nd FB with MM's offense and all the TEs we have. What could a backup FB add that isn't already covered?

Tom Crabtree is a much better fit on the roster than a second fullback.

This really doesn't need its own thread and most people are probably reading this.

I don't know if we necessarily need 7 DL, but I feel like we're short at least one good one, provisionally, with Neal hurting. Pickett is solid but seems to be showing his age a bit. Green is solid. Raji is Raji, obviously. I realize that we play a lot of 2-4-5, but I'd prefer if we didn't have to play Raji 90% of the time. Quality depth would allow us to spell him more frequently.

With the disappointments on the interior of our line, depth there is a far more pressing issue. I'm fine with our tackles.

I think our d-line always plays better when we are deeper. It makes such a difference if guys are well rested in the 4th. I would feel so much better about this team if we had Jolly right now.

The #Packers enter the practice week with their 53-man roster exactly the way it was Saturday night. GM Ted Thompson didn't claim anyone.

Obviously they could get signed by anyone during the season, but it's awesome that all of the guys we liked managed to make it onto the PS.

Yeah, TT straight up dominated the cuts/PS. Traded a couple of guys and got 6 guys on the PS that have potential.

Yes it is, pleasantly surprised. NFL teams are dumb, you can't tell there isn't one team out there where West could not be their 4th or even 3rd WR right now.

This is what happens when other teams try to claim the players that TT wants, the draft is a similar process:

I'm finally on the Big Unit doesn't know much about sports bandwagon...he was going over his speculation of cuts on Friday, and said he expected Shields to make the team, but wouldn't be shocked one bit if he got cut. WTF?
