Roster cuts ...

Post#1 » by Nemesis21 » Fri Sep 2, 2011 5:48 pm

DT John McCargo, DE Kyle Moore RB Armando Allen Jr and MLB Tyron McKenzie were cut per Adam Schefter.

I'm surprised McKenzie was cut, thought he was going to be Foster's backup at MLB.

QB Rudy Carpenter, RB Mossis Madu and MLB Derrell Smith have been cut per Adam Schefter.

Would have liked to see them keep Carpenter with Josh Johnson wanting to start and is a FA after this season.

I wish Carpenter would have stayed......but hell, there are a lot of back up QBs to get.

Wish the Bucs would have taken a chance on Safety Brandon Meriweather, who was cut by Pats. Bears signed him.

There are several players who could be picked up, Bucs looking for a 3rd TE, since they cut Purvis, Overbay and Hardy. Zach Pianalto was cut by Bills, he could be a nice 3rd TE, I liked him at UNC.

Bucs are looking for a vet MLB also, not really anybody behind Foster since McKenzie was cut and they were too dumb to keep Ruud, who was not expensive. Also DE Everett Brown was cut by Panthers.

Indeed. Josh Johnson will most likely leave via FA after the season. He has said he wants a chance to start. IMO Carpenter can be a solid backup for Freeman.

Your wish has been granted, Bucs claimed Pianalto on waivers and signed him to practice squad.
