That last play by Tramon was pretty awesome. He kept his composure and made sure he didn't interfere at all. Hell of a play.

I love the sideline chatter in that video. Jennings pwned Polamalu, and Matthews pwned them when they tried to exploit him in the running game.

I think it was Mike Lombardi on a podcast with Bill Simmons who said that was one of if not the best passes ever in Super Bowl history in a key spot situation.

The Steelers had just scored, cut the lead to three points, and if they had got a three and out there, all the momentum would have been on their side. That throw by Rodgers there had to be such a devastating back-breaker for Pittsburgh given Taylor had the route covered near perfectly. If things had been reversed and instead that exact play went against the Packers, watching this replay of the pass/catch would make me sick to my stomach.

One thing about that play IMO which pretty much gets ignored because of what an insane pass it was is the catch by Jennings. Yea the fabulous throw certainly was a much bigger factor, but Jennings had Taylor right on his hip, Taylor's hand was near his face, he was booking it full speed, the pass was a laser beam, and Jennings couldn't see if Polamalu charging in ready to absolutely take his head off. It took serious concentration there by Greg and some balls because that's the exact kind of route where Polamalu has totally blown up other receivers running full speed across the middle and looking back at the ball.

Saw my old roommate, who's a die hard steelers fan for the first time in a while this weekend. We naturally discussed the Super Bowl and he told me he thought the Steelers win that game 7 times out of 10 and that they only lost because of the fumble. He then proceeded to back that up by saying the Packers weren't even that good because they were a wild card. I then quickly pointed out the steelers won the super bowl as a wild card team only a few years ago.

Point out that we lost 3 of our top secondary members, granted both Collins and Shields returned but they clearly weren't 100%.

Do they give out rings for that?

They lost because they were the worse team. Leave Woodson, Driver, and Shields in there the whole game and see what happens.

They lost because they scored fewer points. Can't re-write it, so who cares?

We do realize this is the wrong post game thread, right? This was from the NFC Championship game.

I know he was injured but Polamalu looked very human in the superbowl, and it was his decision making that was pretty poor...seems like he gambles too much and that allowed the Jennings TD in the 4th to happen.

I would just point out that his mother's a whore, but I'm classy like that.
