It was already tried once. Voting was inconsistent, awful picks started happening, subsequent bitching started, and it kind of collapsed a third of the way through. There's not enough posting in the forums (and especially this board) to sustain it.

I think it's hard to do something like this for baseball compared to a sport like basketball. Especially since this sport goes back 100+ years.
