Not sure how news worthy this is, but I just got an email with the word.

This should mean that Time Warner will follow soon.

At least, it better.

TWC is the worst of the worst. I dumped them for DirecTV over 10 years ago and never regretted it. When I moved in May DTV was not an option nor was UVerse so I was forced to go back to TWC. Horrible DVR, bad picture, picture/sound often not in sync, bad customer service. Fortunately I just found out that UVerse is now available for me and I'll be making the call this week to dump TWC once again.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

With all due respect, from a guy that has had TWC and Charter...Charter blows them out of the water in fail.

There is a chart somewhere on Wikipedia with Charter coming up dead last in every single survey essentially in the big 8 or 10 cable companies.

Charter has the worst customer service of any company I have ever experienced, and it isn't close.

I just canceled Charter due to moving to a Time Warner area. I am getting HD TV and DVR with with 15 mbps internet. But I haven't even gotten the services yet and the customer service I have received has been terrible. Charter's service wasn't good either. But at least with Time Warner I'm getting a good package. I'm paying the same price for hopefully better internet and definitely better TV, as I only had SD and 1-99 channels (yet they still needed to come and install a box)

I've never had Charter so I can't say but I've never heard anything good about them. I'm looking forward to Uverse.

We don't have UVerse in my area yet I don't think (far, far west side of Madison near Verona), but that is likely what I'll be switching too after my DishN deal is up.

The only thing Charter has going for them is Customer Retention. If you want your bill lower, call and ask to speak with them and they'll hack your bill down to dirt cheap rates, often upgrading your service.

It sucks that you have to threaten to leave in order to get decent service. Many companies are like that. I could probably get a better deal doing the same with TWC but while price is one consideration there is a lot more. The sound/audio being out of sync, even though it's just a fraction of a second, drives me crazy. I don't think it's the receiver/dvr since it's happening on all 3 of my TV's.

I suffer TWC because of the price atm. If it weren't for kids I'd strictly watch online.

Called them up a week ago and added Digital View Plus (+$10 more/month) to get NFLN... It's not on a standard package.

The good news is it came with a bunch of other channels (and 20 normal, 10 more HD channels) that are decent..

Science / BBC America... etc (Yeah, i'm a nerd I guess)

Worth the $10 for the added channels.

I live in the same general area. When I had to leave UVerse I was a little sad because I liked it so much, but really I've loved Dish too to this point. If UVerse came to West Madison I'm not sure I'd switch back, but I'd definitely think about it. That's two good options to have IMO.

I have ventured to this board to agree with this statement.
