The Falcons caught a bunch of breaks and had an atrociously easy schedule. I'd have put them right in the top tier tied with the Saints, Packers, and Eagles if you take what happened in the playoffs out of the equation.

I also think Snelling is relatively boring. I realize he can handle all of the duties by catching, blocking, and running, but I like an explosive running back...and that he is not.

Other than one nice year rushing the ball 2 years back, Snelling is essentially Brandon Jackson plus a few pounds.

I think that is a big weakness if Turner is over the hill this year. Snelling is boring and Jacquizz Rodgers can only do so much with his size. They go from RB being a position of strength in years past to not being very good at it at all.

I don't think the Falcons schedule was that much easier than the Packers and their schedule this year doesn't look that hard either. I wasn't trying to use the 13-3 as a starting point. Just to show they were a good team that added some talent.

I just don't see it as ridiculous to pick Atlanta as a Super Bowl team. I think GB, Atl, NO and Philly are all in about the same range as far as the Super Bowl goes.

You serious? They got the NFC West (4 wins), Cincinnati and Cleveland (2 more wins) and Carolina (2 more wins) that's a .500 season right there against garbage competition. Didn't really think much of Tampa Bay last year either because they also had a ton of garbage on their schedule. Also, 7 of their wins were by 7 points or less, the only ones that weren't were the two Carolina games, Cleveland, Arizona, St. Louis and Seattle. Not exactly stellar competition.

The Packers on the other hand beat Philly and the Jets on the road, Bears and Giants at home, almost beat the Patriots on the road without their starting QB, didn't lose a game by more than 4 points and pretty much dominated in the playoffs.

One thing I'll say about the Falcons...

Julio Jones looks like he has the potential to be the best WR in the NFL. That dude is crazy.

4.2 on a broken foot. So that means he is gianormous and pretty much as fast as Chris Johnson when his foot is broken.

Yeah, the Falcons schedule was a joke.

I really like Julio Jones this year and have him on every fantasy team (like I said, I'm in too many leagues). He's similar to Dez Bryant. As much as people try to say that rookie WRs aren't a great buy in fantasy, there are guys like Jones and Bryant that teams will try to get the ball to because they are so good, and they are already looking the part.

Let's not forget the fact that Nate Clements had the game sealed up in the Georgia Dome but Nate Clements wouldn't take a knee after his game-ending INT and the Saints missed a 30 yard, game winning FG against the Falcons.

Like I said, the Falcons play the style to keep it close and breaks are going to decide things. That's a great idea in a season where you play 8 of the worst teams in football (counting Carolina twice) and you get some bounces.

They go in thru the front of the neck pushing your throat to the side and remove everything inbetween the two vertebrae and then put in a block/spacer between and a metal plate in the front that screws into the two bones. It's 2-3 months in a neck brace with no movement while the bone grows around that spacer. I believe its the same thing that Sterling had done and TJ Ford. Ford returned from it but he isn't getting hit in the head, well as much.

Wow, and they just gave him 50 million in guaranteed money.

As for Manning, i'm no spinal doctor, but i hope the guy doesn't risk ending up being paralyzed just to keep playing at some point. We aren't talking about an ACL here.

Team Statement
As previously stated on Monday, Sept. 5th, Peyton Manning has undergone further testing and consultation with several specialists regarding his rehabilitation. The results of these tests and the consensus of the consultations was that further surgery was warranted. Peyton has undergone this surgery today by having a single level anterior fusion. The surgery was un-eventful.
This procedure is performed regularly throughout the country on persons from all walks of life, including professional football players. Two former Colts players had this same procedure last winter and have fully resumed their careers. Rehabilitation from such surgery is typically an involved process. Therefore, there will be no estimation of a return date at this time. We will keep Peyton on the active roster until we have a clearer picture of his recovery process.
Peyton will immediately begin the rehabilitation regimen mapped out by the surgeon. We anticipate no further updates or availabilities beyond those required by the NFL Media Policy for the immediate future.

They also had the least amount of injuries in the NFL, and were pretty much given two of their wins by either stupid play or bad calls (Detroit Calvin Johnson non catch, Packers game where they had 17 penalties including BS PI at end of game).

Bears were extremely fortunate last year. They took advantage of it, so kudos to them, but they really did nothing in the offseason to improve their team, and now will likely have worse injuries and worse luck this year, and maybe even a worse offensive line, if that is possible.

Yeah, no chance in hell the bears go 4-4. They have no talent and only won a ton of games last year based on luck. 8-)

1. Where did I say the Bears wouldn't go 4-4?

2. The Bears win today does not change my opinion on them. I have them 3rd in the division.

I find it kind of funny that this is getting bumped based on one week though.
