Of course Savas was the beginning of that.

what you cant see in this video is the two technical foul free throws .. poland shot them at the beginning of the 4th.
turkey was trailing the whole game up to that point and finally managed to get a grip of themselves - leading by 7. but then this happened. no excuse for losing nonetheless, but still those were some **** up calls. how is that a flarant foul and where was the foul on the forced 3pt shot from the polish center? i'd get pissed too if i were the turkish coach, so yeah .. here's a technical foul to crown all that bull. both times it was the same ref ...

Turkey didn't play well but the bs at the end of 3rd quarter changed the dynamics of the game, i don't see how Poland would have came back without that sequence. good thing game is not going to matter.

Whatever, Turkiey beat Spain by 8 today after ending the game on a 16-0 run (Spain outscored 2-16 in the 4th quarter (!!)). Spain, Lit and Turkey beat each other so they all enter the 2nd round with a 1-1 record.

My boys beat Croatia.

France-Serbia was the best 1st half I've seen all tourney.

How's Bo McCalebb not in there? He's playing amazing, taking a less than mediocre team to the quarter finals and he's also the scoring leader in the championship.

I think the explanation is he's an American :)

Joking. The explanation is probably that he played in weaker group. As you can see all selected players are from a and b groups. Even kirilenko is not there and his team has 6-0, he is top stealer...

Spain 84-Serbia 59 without even putting the pedal to the metal almost the entire last quarter.
When Spain plays focused and aggressively they're the best team of the tournament by far.

Watching Germany struggle vs Turkey. Enes Kanter has no trouble scoring inside on NBA players Nowitzki and Kaman. Granted, neither is a great defender, but still he's showing that he can score against grown up NBA big men.

or you could say turkey struggles with germany... germany hat 6 points in the first 10 minutes ! they called 3 fouls on dirk so he sat the last 5 minutes of the 2nd quarter. he he would get the same calls on the other side ....

incredible bad game. both teams shoot under 40%, turkey shoots 33% from the free throw line o0. 26-23 at the half ...

and again a scrub goes off against turkey .. this schwethelm dude because turkey is too stupid to guard a spot up jumpshooter. hedo chucking bad shot after bad shot (4/15), turkey 10/22 from the free throw line. you outrebound your opponent big time, u get to the line 22 times and still u dont manage to profit. the guard play is just poor: arslan and tunceri are really bad in this tournament. sometimes i have the feeling that asik is the only one truly hustling, having a monstergame again with 19 pts and 11 boards, but thats just not enough. on top of that your two "star" players turkoglu and ilyasova fail to produce anything, so not surprising turkey lost.

This is Spain to lose it. They are the best non-american team Ive seen in the last 25 years. Their frontcourt rotation is as good as USA can play. Pau Gasol is a top 5 PF, and Marc Gasol is top 5 center in the NBA, Serge Ibaka is the best defensive presence in the league alongside Dwight Howard. Calderon is playing great again, and they have a couple of great guards and shooter in Navarro and Rudy... If they play 100% they even have a shot against USA in the Olympics. Pd: Rubio is a bustttttttt

Just finished watching Macedonia - Slovenia. Excellent game, Macedonia won it comfortably.
Dragic was great for Slovenia, McCalebb and Ilievski both had excellent games for Macedonia.

Can't believe Macedonia is doing this well.

Yeah Macedonia has been playing really well in this tournament. Greece and Russia in a close game right now, I think Russia will win this one. Can't wait for Spain vs France tomorrow, should be a great game.

turkey 1/6 from the free throw line at the end of the 1st quarter. hedo taking and missing 3 pt shot after 3 pt shot .. pathetic.

turkey has 0 offense and 0 defense at the guard position. even jose calderon would be a defensive upgrade on that turkish team. teodosic is beating turkey on his own.

All the struggles of TR should be accounted on Ene. He has a knack for disrupting what is working. How can you not see that Asik and Kanter duo is what put Turkey back in the game and he still keeps Kanter on the bench.

Any French fan here? I just hope the'll get trashed soon. I'm not sure I want Greece to win though. Nevertheless, what France's done today is both revolting and a manifest insult towards the spectators. I've felt like throwing up several times during the game.
