Man today would have been a much better tailgate day. I was sweating bullets just playing a couple games of flip cup before the opener. Nothing like the first Saturday home game...

I did but I honestly don't remember which ones. Followed a forum.

I'm just entering the badger bar on a last minute idea.

Don't think I've ever seen a -4 yard punt in any level of football

Wow, just realized Wilson went to the same school I did in Richmond, Va when I moved from Milwaukee as a kid. Smaller private school--never thought any famous athletes would come from there.

In fact looking it up he's the only one...

Definitely have something on the Badgers -21 today...

When my brother was in HS I saw a -2 yard "attempt" at an onside kick.

Pretty good half. Wilson doing most of the damage with the pass after Oregon St. did a pretty good job slowing down our rushing attack.

Just back from the game. Man it was hot inside CR. No breeze at all. Baked on the aluminum. Decent game, Orgeon St. doesn't have much. Badger Bash back outside Union South, which now has 60 hotel rooms. Union South was always dumpy when I went there, now it rocks.

Anyway, good win, the real test comes in 3 weeks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The worst thing was the lack of food choices around there especially after they closed down Gum Seng across the street when they were preparing to tear it down. The food at Union South was awful and it sucked for Engineering students like myself.

I would assume they've got some good food options over there finally.

One thing to LOL about a bit is that there are 3 Subways within about 3-5 minute walk from Engineering, though maybe they shut the one down under the Regent.

LOL on the Subways.

I was, and am, still a bit bitter over the way they ended up getting the funding for the new Union South; lots of political games and such. But, the new building is pretty sweet. The major criticisms I've heard is that the food options, while solid, seem to be closed all the time (though that may change as they start opening up the whole thing) and that an investment in renovating the Memorial Union would be much more preferable because of the location.

Hard to top Memorial Union because of the lake. I don't know about food options at south. Today they had some things open inside, pizza I think, I didn't eat. The bowling alleys are sweet, pool tables lots of flat screens including several above the pins. I did a double take when I saw the front desk for the hotel. The guy said the normal rates around $110 or so and game weekends is 2 night minimum at around $190 a night.

I was listening to KFAN and they had Glen Mason on. He was talking about his friendship with Paterno and how much Paterno cares for the game, fans, etc, etc.

He said Paterno was getting worked up about how the hotels on Penn State game weekends would be $400 a night with a two night minimum (he may have even said a higher figure, I forget). I am guessing that this was probably an extreme case for games like this Alabama one, but I'm not sure.
