Fats, I was reallllly thinking about taking Tiny, but after reading through Simmons' book, I was scared off.

He does have the distinction of being the only player to lead the league in points and assists, but seemed a little Derrick Rose-ish for my taste

tiny will be perfect off the bench for my team. he can come in and play 15-20 minutes and just go 100 miles per hour. kinda like a super ridiculously awesome version of jj barea for the mavs.

tiny showed in boston that he wasnt just about scoring. in boston he played with a loaded team, only averaged about 15ppg and led that team to a championship by running that offense perfectly. when tiny was in kansas city that team had no other players. tiny had to do everything. cousy was the coach of that team and cousy is the one who told tiny to take all of the scoring load. he was just doing what a hall of famer point guard/coach asked him to do.

I really had a hard time deciding who to select with my 7th pick. I went with Mitch because he'd be a great sixth man who will provide firepower off the bench and I kind of sensed that he'd get selected within this round.

He's one of the underrated players of all-time and arguably the second-best all-around shooting guard in the 1990s (or at least the earlier part). If only he had the physical gifts that MJ had, he could've done so much more.

Apparently the NBA kissed the MVP's (The Admiral) ass and put him on the 1st Defensive team. The funny part is that Robinson got badly outplayed by Hakeem later on in the Western Finals.

my starting lineup really needs a tough defensive forward who can also stretch the defense with great 3pt range. how the hell do you find a great defensive forward who can also shoot 3s? usually you get one or the other.

i'll take Dave Debusschere for the Hall of Fame category.

debusschere was the best defensive forward of his era. he made the 1st team all defensive team every year he played starting 68-69 when the award was first introduced. had the award been around for the first 6 years of his career there is no doubt the debusschere would have 12 1st team-all defense selections instead of only 6.

debusschere also played before the 3pt line was introduced. however, he made a living of knocking down long jumpers. his career averages would no doubt be a few points higher had he played in the 3pt era, much like other shooters from that time like maravich and barry.

debusschere played mostly power forward in his career but as a great defender and shooter and only 6'6" he is the ideal small forward on my team. he and barkley and interchange roles on offense based on matchups.

After taking guys like Dantley and English, who aren't exactly defensive minded, I need someone coming off the bench with that toughness and some hard D... Is there really anyone better than, drum roll please....



Bill Laimbeer (glass cleaner). The guy everybody hates, but I bet every team would like on their roster. He and Dennis Rodman have influenced the most the way I play the game of basketball (yes, I'm an **** on the basketball court), so I couldn't let them both go past. Of course I didn't live through that era, so I didn't see him play against my team enough to hate him. Although I believe that I would have been a Pistons fan, since it's one of my favorite all-time teams.

He can play without the ball on offense and that is very important because I have plenty of guys who can do that and might not pass the ball that often. He's on my team because of defense, so the full 48 minutes you most likely will get rejected or thrown to the ground if you step under my basket. Even when Hakeem is out...

Had a 5 year stretch of 16,1 points per game, 12,2 rebs, 1 block and 9 cheap shots (I only made one of those stats up).

Played at least 79 games every season during his career (we can't really count the 93/94 one), played 6 full seasons in a row, at one point 685 consecutive games, which were of course cut short because of a suspension. I suspect that it's the case for most of the games he missed.
