I'd start him then! Get the other guy's HOF center out of there. Then you can play your starter against their 2nd stringer (who will likely also be HOF :lol:

I just love this plan. Laimbeer would take out Wilt and then we'd have a Hakeem vs Gilmore match-up. As you said - most likely the 2nd stringer will also be HOF.

You summed Laimbeer up perfectly, everybody hated him, but you would love to have him on your team.

I want to bring a little speed off the bench and also I used to love watching him play.

The NBA's greatest choker. Latrell Sprewell for NBA 1st teamer.

He was a bit of a knucklehead, but man he could play.

In 96/97 for GSW he averaged 24.2 pts at .449%, .354% three pointers, 4.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists.

How mad am I that Mullin and Richmond were already taken? My dreams of creating a run TMC second unit are dashed. But that's fine because my favorite player ever is still on the board and now is a great time to nab him. It's a shame he's so underrated, because this man was definitely a beast in his heyday.

He was truly unguardable, even in the handchecking era. Play him close, and he blows by you with the UTEP two step. Sag off, and he'll drop threes on your head. All that scoring potential, and he's still 13th all time in assists

not to take anything away from those amazingly entertaining warrior teams from the late 80s/early 90s, but how funny is it that in a draft of all time players the run and gun warrior team that only managed to win 1 playoff series over a 5 year span has had 5 players drafted (mullin, webber, sprewell, ritchmond and hardaway) in the first 6 rounds of this draft. that is quite a feat for a bunch of guys that never won anything collectively.

damn don nelson?
damn stupid trades?
damn over-inflated stats due to fast tempo?
damn greatest era of basketball ever having to play against stacked lakers, blazers, suns, jazz and spurs teams and sometimes fairly decent rockets, sonics, mavs and nuggets teams?

Not a big deal, but actually they won 2 playoffs series. On Mitch's rookie season (88/89) they swept the Jazz and in 90/91 there were the Spurs.

In my opinion, you can be a fairly good regular season team with Nellie ball, but yes, the Western conference was just too good for them to get anywhere in the playoffs with that kind of basketball.

You can put the blame on injuries/stupid trades only when talking about that 93/94 team. It should have been:

PG Hardaway/Avery Johnson
SG Spree/Marciulionis
SF Mullin/Grayer
PF Billy Owens/Gatling
C C-Webb/Victor Alexander

A great 10 man roster, yet Hardaway and Marciulionis missed the whole season, Mullin had passed his prime and started to have 40 game seasons and so that team basically becomes a 7 man team. If only Nellie could have talked everything out with Webber. They should have had

SF Mullin/Billy Owens
PF C-Webb/Gatling
C Seikaly/Alexander

the next year, which is an upgrade compared to the last year. They did what Chris asked for - get a center, so he could play at the 4. Apparently the argument with Nellie had already gone too far, so there was no way back.

Actually - I don't even see this team get past the Western semi-finals, however they would definitely have been the fan favorites, such an exciting line-up. I believe that the 93/94 Chris Webber is the only point center in the history of the NBA. Don't forget that Billy Owens was a point forward for Nellie as well. Basically they had a point front-court. How crazy is that!?!? I guess it happens only in Golden State/with Nellie though.

hell yes, a hardaway mix would be awesome. however, i have a qualifier, please no highlights of the hardaway from the heat. he was dbag when he was with the heat............ unless you want to include the nasty clip of baron davis dunking all over hardaway, then thats ok. haha.

And this I consider to be one of my best uploads... When Don Nelson's Warriors and Paul Westhead's Enver Nuggets (no D) play, you know it's gonna be worth watching. Run-TMC score 99 points - 38 for Mullin, Hardaway has 32 and 18 assists, Richmond adds 29. The high-scoring trio for Denver is Orlando Woolridge (37), Walter Davis (33) and Todd Lichti with 19, also combining for 99 points. NBA record - both teams combine for 320, run & gun at its best. In continuing my theme of "guys MJ hates," I select former league MVP Allen Iverson.

I think he makes for probably the best sparkplug off the bench conceivable... he's like super Barea.

And to round out my backcourt rotation, I add Michael Cooper. One of the best defensive players of all time, Cooper defended the 1-3 routinely (including earning the distinction as the "Bird stopper," insofar as there was one). He could also shoot the 3 and wasn't half bad as a passer either.
