ATL and GSW have a trade to announce:
ATL trades:
Nick Collison $3,272,997
GSW trades:
Lou Amundson $2,403,000
NJ 2012 2nd
Why for ATL:
After getting Haslem as our PF.backup we decided to trade Collison for an exp and a small asset. Could be useful in other deals.

I believe this is TRADE #51
GS accepts. Nick Collison wins basketball games - just about nobody I'd rather have coming off my bench.

ATL trades:

SAC trades:
Udonis Haslem $3,780,000
Why for ATL?
There are rumors that Collison + Pachulia will be moved soon, so there is a need for a big man. Flynn was our 3rd PG. He would have seen 0 minutes and has 0 trade value.
Haslem is a high energy guy off the bench with very nice contract, because he took less to play for the Heat.
I like Haslem as the backup PF, but I may have another deal to acquire amother one. And I really needed a backup PG.

Trade #52:
Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves have reached the agreement:
Timberwolves send:
Andrew Bogut $12,100,000
Derrick Williams $3,955,400
Luke Ridnour $3,680,000
Anthony Randolph $2,911,231
Lazar Hayward $1,097,520
2014 MIN 1st round pick
2015 MIN 1st round pick
TOTAL: $23,744,151
Magic send:
Dwight Howard $18,091,770
Hedo Turkoglu $11,015,850
TOTAL: $29,107,620
23,744,151 * 1,25 + 100,000 = 29,780,188
29,780,188 > 29,107,620
Deal works.
We feel, Dwight would have left after the season anyway, so we decided to get something back in return. And this return is really good. We get top 5 center in the league Andrew Bogut, who is still not old, also we get high draft pick Derrick Williams, who may become a future superstar. Also we get Anthony Randolph, who may become next Lamar Odom or even better. Also, we get veteran PG Ridnour, who brings experience and leadership to my team. Lazar Hayward and 2 1st draft picks are ok, even though, we don’t value them much. Last, but not least, we get rid of Hedo’s huge contract.

Wolves accept. Dwight is the best center in the game. He is paired up with Chris Bosh and Eric Gordon. He will definitely have a shot at the championship.

Trade #53: (after trade #52 is approved)
Orlando Magic and Denver Nuggets have reached the agreement:
Nuggets send:
Nene $12,000,000
Arron Afflalo $6,000,000
2014 DEN 2nd round pick
TOTAL: $18,000,000
Magic send:
Andrew Bogut $12,100,000
Jason Richardson $8,000,000
TOTAL: $20,100,000
18,000,000 * 1,25 + 100,000 = 22,600,000
22,600,000 > 20,100,000
Deal works.
We downgrade at C position again, but we get a good pretty young SG, instead of J-Rich, who, we felt, didn't have much value. Getting a draft pick is always a good thing too.

Bogut is the 2nd best C in the league in our estimation and a damn good anchor, shotblocker and a decent post scorer. JRich is a 15ppg scorer and a spacer to out beside Westbrook.

Trade 54
Rockets / Blazers - 2 Part Transaction
The Houston Rocket have announce the trade of PF DJ White to the Portland Trail Blazers who have used $2.001M of their $2.92M TPE from the Jerryd Bayless Deal. This was necessary since the Blazers were over the salary cap.
In a second transaction, The Rockets have acquired the Rights to rookie combo guard Nolan Smith for their best avaialbe 2012 2nd Round pick (HOU top 40 protected / MN protected from 55-60).
Houston felt this move gave them more flexibilty in future back court moves and would allow DJ White the playing time he could not get with the Rockets depth at the PF/C positions.
Houston moves $2,001,120 of salary for a TPE and incurs no salary for the Rights to Smith who they anticipate will be signed once the deal can be worked out.

Trade 55
Rockets - Suns Announce Swap
The Houston Rockets will send rookie Jordan Hamilton ($922,400) and the DEN 2012 1st round pick to the Phoenix Suns who will use their Earl Clark TPE to execute this transaction.
In exchange, the Suns will move Jason Thompson ($3,001,284) to the Rockets who can absorb this salary under the CBA agreement.
Houston is delighted to have a young PF/C with proven NBA abilities, though they hate to lose the potential that Jordan Hamilton brought. In the end, Houston felt it was ready to make it's push, had young, proven talent in Hamilton's positions and went with Thompson - who was teh 9th overall pick by Jerry Sloan in 2009. Houston has always admired the Jazz's eye for talent.
**Devilanche EDIT As pointed out by Devilanche the Trade exceptions cannot be combined for a player - Jason Thompson. However, I had reviewed this transaction with the GMs and Commissioner prior to the transactions (including the signing of FA Belinelli) If the PHX transaction had been executed first - after moving Hamilton in a separate Transaction HOU salary was just under $ 52000000 (math was done) and Thompson could be signed outright. Exception was used incorrectly as I thought it would be clearer than trying to track the salaries with each transaction. TPE cannot be combined but cap room was there. Good catch Delilache.

Phoenix agrees: We get rid of a big man, we won't really need and add a nice shooter in Jordan Hamilton and a first round pick.

Trade #56:
BLOCKBUSTER
MIA send:
Chris Paul ($16,359,805)
Stephen Jackson ($9,256,500)
Chuck Hayes ($4,000,000)
Roddy Beaubois ($1,236,720 )
MIN 2012 1st
PHX sends:
Steve Nash($11,689,062)
Marcin Gortat ($6,790,640)
Dorell Wright ($3,823,000)
Jerryd Bayless($3,042,283)
Jordan Hill ($2,855,760)
Zabian Dowdell ($788,872)
MIA hates to give up cp3 after trying so hard to get him, but without a big man we won't win the championship. We get nash to replace cp3 and nash can still play lights out as a PG. His specialty is 3 pt shooting and passing - great pairing with LBJ. He can really spread the floor when lbj attacks all day. Gortat is the starting-center we've been looking for and wright is a great asset for us to pick up. bayless will make a great replacement backup pg as he has proven he can play in the nba. we get to dump sjax's yucky contract too, and hayes has been upgraded. Good dealing, PHX!

Phoenix accepts: We finally get a guy we can build around in the future and a very nice young prospect in Beaubois. We also get rid off Jordan Hill. Stephen Jackson has shown that he still can play the game and his contract isn't that bad. Of course losing Gortat hurts, but this is the price you have to pay if you want to get a new francise player.

The amount of depth that Portland has in PGs and combo guards is vastly deep. This trade allows us to get a player of more need (big man depth) who has shown flashes of potential this past season. 2nd round pick doesn't hurt either.

Phoenix and Oklahoma have a trade to annouce:
Kirk Hinrich 8,100,000
for
Stephen Jackson 9,256,500
8,100,000 * 1,25 +100.000 = 10,225,000
10,225,000 > 9,256,500
Salarie works!
Phoenix gets an expiring, but very good player in Hinrich for Stephen Jackson, who's contract is one year longer. That allows us to move Dudley into the starting lineup. Now we have a very nice bench backcourt in Hinrich and Beaubois.

Confirmed. Sjax is 19/5/4 on good 3 point shooting, and defense. He is a great 6th or 7th man and may start for us.

Trade 58.
The Philly 76ers and Utah Jazz have agreed a trade.
Philadelphia Trade
Andres Nocioni - $6,650,000
Kenneth Faried - $1,078,000
2012 1st
Utah Trade
Paul Millsap - $8,103,435
Why for Philly? Unable to find a superstar, I've gone for strengthening the roster - Paul Millsap is a great compliment to Varejao in the front court, has shown massive improvements in his game, shooting an efficient (53%/39%) 17.3 points per game last year including a stunning 46 points vs Miami.
