Teams from Asia are busy qualifying for the World Cup and teams from Europe likely don't want to travel that far at this time of year.

Honduras/Ecuador are pretty good, so those will be tough friendlies.

i got issues with some selections...

1.) 3 GK, really ? we havent even seen Bill Hamid, why bring another oldy Nick Rimando

2.) i thought we were done with Onyewu. we cant afford a player with no ball skills, and negative ball control / possession ability

3.) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO michael bradely. i cant stand his style of play. wev looked better WITHOUT him. dam. if he starts in these games it will upset me

4.) y Beasley ? i thought we were done with him too

Tim Chandler is the truth, so glad he chose to play for the US.

I wanna see Bunbury get more of a shot. I feel like him or Agudelo could be our starting striker for years to come if they keep gaining international experience.

a few more comments

yay, NO more Castillo
is Spector ready ?
where is Kljestan
where is Torres

**

i havent seen Bunbury at all
i dont know his style

Agudelo deserves a start and major time

**

id like to see our 4-3-3 again
or a 4-1-3-2

4
bocanegra, cherundolo (seem to be locks)
ream, spector (gotta see more from them)

1
maurice edu
looks to b his natural position
really helps the D and helps with possession
(i used to not like him at all, until he was used in this spot)

3
brek, donovan, dempsey
they can all score and create

2
altidore, agudelo
time to see them together, for at least 60 minutes

if its a 4-3-3
bocanegra, cherundolo, chandler, ream
brek, edu, donovan
dempsey, altidore, agudelo
idk if we have the right M, for these games, for this formation

Last I read Torres was out with a major injury. And IMO Kljestan is just average, might as well have Feilhaber in there over him.

I like that 4-3-3 lineup you've got there, though I haven't seen much of Ream. Boca and Jozy are on form and I really like what I've seen from Brek. Great size but I think he still has the mindset of a striker when he's really more of a winger.

i think Torres is key, to the 4-3-3 formation
idk if Edu can play that center Mid position
hes more of a possession defense guy
id like to see it though

ive also been wanting to see a 4-1-3-2 formation
4 D
1 DM = edu
3 M = brek, donovan, dempsey
2 F = agudelo, altidore

maybe kljestan at M and brek as the other F
then we can have 2 big guys up top

Lichaj - Kljestan - Adu - have not been apart of these last friendlies - i would really like to see them b added to the team

‎2010 World Cup vet Edson Buddle has replaced Landon Donovan (strained quadriceps) in the U.S. MNT squad for games against Honduras and Ecuador.

I'd go with a 4-1-2-1-2 or 4-3-1-2 just to force Adu into the starting lineup as a CF. IDK why he hasn't been involved, did he not get called for these two friendlies?

Beckerman is so low reward that at this point I'd rather start Williams just to see wtf we have in him.

As for the defense I think Chandler, Boca, and Cherundolo's spots are basically set which leaves one more starting position to be filled. Cherundolo could play CB but I feel he's more valuable on the outside since he makes good runs, so I'd like to see if Onyewu can re-capture his old form as our starting CB. If not then start Cherundolo at CB and throw Orozco out wide.

For forwards I'd like to see Jozy/Agu as well, good call there as I think that's where our future is at. But if Agu plays flustered like he did when I last saw him then sub in Bunbury.
