Re: Series thread: Blue Jays @ Red Sox (Sept 13 - 14)
In Morrow's last five starts he has given up 10 home runs in 25.2 innings. Prior to that stretch, he had given up 10 home runs in 132.2 innings. Yes his last five starts include two against Boston and one against New York, but he gave up 5 home runs combined to Tampa and Kansas City as well.
Unless he is reverting back to his pre-2010 home run rates, that is not normal for him. Either he is pitching hurt or tired, would be my guess.

Did Lawrie get injured? How come he's no longer in the lineup?

Clutch hit by Loewen but he needs lots of work on the basepaths.

Yeah, but then you have to do something with one of Thames and Davis as well.
FWIW, Cooper now has an OPS higher then Thames
. It was a travesty he was only given 30 ABs the first go round.

Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Looks like Romero has gotten over his Red Sox phobia.

Yeah great to see Romero pitch well at Fenway. Hopefully the Red Sox jinx is over now for him.
We really need another pitcher close to or at Romero's level. Too many question marks for the rotation, as is, next season.

When I see Halladay have games like today, I really miss him in this rotation. A guy you can depend on, no matter the opponent.

The National League must be a joke to Doc after pitching in the AL East for so many years, seriously. He faces a gimme batter at a bare minimum once each time through the lineup. It's nice to see him on the Phillies, to be honest, especially given how well they've performed this season. The Yankees are the only other team with even 90 wins and the Phillies already have 95. Can't wait to see him in the playoffs again!

More like 3+ gimme batters. The majority of NL lineups are a joke, particularly the NL West teams. They just have so little power. I watched almost the entirety of that Dodgers/DBacks game last night and the point was driven home for me once again.
