Ah, I misread part.

When you said "teams" I read " teams' " not "team's", and thought you were referring to previous decades as well.

Nah, I almost went back and fixed that, but decided not to. Probably should've.

But Snake, obviously my 70s era team should've won.

Congrats to Cellar, it was a great finals matchup. Been busy, sorry I didnt vote

Anyways, can people update their rosters for next era or post them here during the draft? I had a hard time 1st round in the 90's era in trying to find the rosters. Thanks!

I'd like to double on that request. They just need to be up somewhere so just in case you're late on your writeup, at least people can see how you plan on fielding your team.

Mine will be in the rosters thread, as per usual.

-Mourning, Barkley, Schrempf, Sprewell, Price, Nash, Smith, Oakley, Pierce (9)

Based on that, we're looking at

Nash
Sprewell

Mourning

I can't place who smith is, but I'd say a shooting wing/good finisher or an elite finishing big. Amare? He's one of the two best PFs left on the board IMO. The other one isn't so much someone I'd pair with Nash.

Thats the guy I was thinking as well. Good enough confirmation for me; he'll be the pick.

Really interested to see Kidd/Pierce. And interested to see what season Luke chooses for Pierce.

That I haven't decided. But should be a good combo. Felt I needed a go to scorer given the dominant bigs are all off the board already.

Wow, a guy I had originally pegged as having a shot at being picked in the top 4 is dropping all the way (at least) to number 8.

Most of us have that position sorted (assuming that's what you mean)

Agreed on the scorer. Pierce was probably the next wing choice. I was overthinking myself into possibly taking another guy if both somehow fell to me. Pretty much knew Pierce wouldn't.

I definitely like the combo though. There's some precedent for the fit too with Kidd-lite Rondo working well with him.

Yeah, that prediction was originally made without knowledge of the exact order of picks.

It just so happened that folks with that position filled ended up picking in the 5-7 range, and the circumstance that might have lead to him being picked 4th didn't come to pass.

Still, will be a good deal for someone who will be getting a player of that level at 8 or 9.

I'm liking my team also, but there are so many evenly matched teams this era that it's gonna be tricky.

PG: Jason Kidd
SG: Andre Iguodala
SF: Paul Pierce / Rice*
PF: Chris Bosh / Shareef*
C: Rasheed Wallace / Ewing*

*might keep

Was surprised KD went so high.
