Think about all the starting SGs in the NBA and he might only edge out Thabo. He's a good 6th man but I think we could have both Mayo and Williams without breaking the bank. He just doesn't do it for me.

First Terrence is considered more of a three than a two. Second if he can do so much more than why is it that he has never had a thirty point game in his career when Hendo has had two? OJ is much more talented than Hendo. That is true, but everyone knows that there is just something missing with his mentals. While Hendo's mental toughness is what makes him special. Also it is ridiculous to say that Heno is worst than every other stating two except Thabo. Is Anthony Parker better? Ben Gordon? Mike Dunleavy? Marco Benelli or George Hill? Hendo is arguebly as good or better than almost half of the nba's two's and that is just based on what he has done so far in two year. We probably could get both Mayo and Williams without breaking the banks, because in case you hadn't noticed both of their teams are trying to dump them.

Yeah, I'd trade Henderson for Mayo though. Wouldn't you?

its so hard to get a read on mayo. is the the guy who averaged 20ppg as a rookie or the guy who spent the last two years playing behind sam jones, tony allen and xavier henry.

I doubt he could be an All Star, but he does have All Star type talent. Seems his problem is more between his ears and trying to find the right fit more than anything.

Ideally T.Will would add a three ball to his game ala JRich and we could play him AND Hendo next to each other as our starting SG and SF for the next 5+ years!

Of two at-risk players, I would strongly prefer Mayo to Williams. OJ has been uneven but he has demonstrated the ability to score and shoot, while Williams indeed struggles to get over the 40% hump. Mayo is the kind of player you take a chance on, and hope that a different coach and environment help him to find his form. I could see MJ giving OJ extra help and focus to help him get mentally tough. Memphis seems intent on keeping him, so I doubt any swap is likely.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Keep in mind that when T.Will played in the D, was "the" man on his team and was allowed to shoot, not only did he average a triple double over three games (28/11/11) but he shot 43% from the floor - and in his 1st game he went 5-19 (26%). His other two games he combined for 48% from the floor.

Over all three games, he went 10-20 from three for 50%.

Point is, he can get it done, he just needs to be given a green light.

All that said, Mayo >>>>>>> T.Will.

^^^^

I'd vote Hendo too but TWills got all the intangibles to be an elite defender also, Mayo not so much lol.

Not at this point. It seems to me that Hendo is steadily improving while Mayo is stagnating. He seems to be no where near the potential he was famous for coming into the league. I mean after all while he may never be a DWade level scorer he may come close defensively.
