I think Kos is more than good enough to hold down the fort with Mertsacker until Vermaelen comes back. The only thing is this means we will see Squallici in the cup competitions.

Apparently, according to their clubs Arsenal had bids rejected for Hazard, M'Villa, and Gotze. Hopefully we go back in the January transfer window and nab couple of them.

Theo and Gibbs available. My side:

------ Park - RVP - Theo
Ramsey - Frimpong - Arteta
-- Gibbs - Kos - Per - Sagna
---------- Szczesny

Discussing strategy for the game. One thing is for sure, we are not getting bullied in the air with Mertsacker and when Vermaelen comes back, we will not have to fear the Stokes anymore.

Arsene said that Park does not have Visa yet and might not get one before the game. So not likely he will feature tomorrow. I will go with OX, since Arshavin palyed two international games this week.

Bad performance, good result. I hope the new signings gel quick. There are a lot of points to be picked up in the next few weeks.

I still can't believe we have Mertesacker.

Arteta's play was promising, Arshavin's too. That we struggled to break down a defense even with RVP was very worrying.

He's good but he's not amazing, far from it.

Tottenham fan here but not one that dislikes the Gooners because i am a fan of football, I have great respect for Wenger & the football his team plays(which is impossible to dislike) & the fact he won't use absurd amounts of cash to buy success(mancity cough cough)

I have full faith that he will right the ship & the trophies will come.

BTW Per Mertesacker is a beast!! 26 years old with over 75 caps for Germany & is the cleanest backman in the world, in the last 6 years in the Bundesliga he got exactly 1 yellow & 1 red card.

His leadership & intelligence on the pitch is outstanding.

At this rate, we'd be lucky to be in the Europa league next season.

Fixed.

Best display offensively this season, Ramsey was very good.

Garbage defending on the goals. Those guys must be ashamed of themselves. Santos looked out of it, but played a couple nice crosses. Anyone know why Gibbs didn't play?

Djourou on for Sagna was a poor decision, it was never going to work. Chamakh would have a better chance of defending Hoilett.

Garbage ref, even with the two OGs we could have got a result if they'd called the offside on Yakubu, and the pen Theo should have had.
