I'm in a PPR, 10 yard per point league. I need some advice on who to start as a flex player:

Steve Smith vs. GB
Malcom Floyd @ NE
Kellen Winslow @ Minn

I'm leaning towards Smith because of his play last week, but Rivers is going to be throwing the ball a lot against NE, and Winslow will probably have a pretty decent game against Minnesota. My other receivers are Maclin, Manningham, and Roddy White. Hopefully Maclin shows up this week, b/c he didn't do anything last week.

I would with Floyd for sure. That game is going to be a shootout. Plus, S. Smith is gonna have Woodson covering him all day.

this is really tempting but I have Stafford & Vick, I sorta want to start Stafford based on what he did vs Tampa as well as what Buff did to KC. Vick had nice week 1 but half of his pts were from rushing, that can't be good for a QB and Atl is certainly a bit better D then Stl.

Also Steve Johnson or M. Williams? I have Williams & Blunt and a bit worried about TB offense, Williams only did what he did at the end when TB was clearly in pass mode.

I'd probably go Stafford, but it's easy for me to say cause I didn't spend a super high pick on Vick.

I'd also go Stevie Johnson as long as he's going to be healthy this week.

Who to put at RB #2
L. Blount @ MIN
'J. Starks @ CAR
M. Tolbert @ NE

I'd go Starks. I think he's going to start taking a majority of the carries and this should be a borderline blowout.

JDP wrote:now my question:

RB2 Standard scoring league
J. Starks vs. Carolina or Shonn Greene vs. Jacksonville

I'm going Starks again. I know Jacksonville should be a great matchup to see for your running backs most of the year no matter what it looked like the first week with Chris Johnson, but I'm just this low on Greene.

I think he's crazy overrated and avoid him like the plague in all leagues.

aaa wrote:Standard scoring, 10 teams. 3 spots for:

LaGarrette Blount @MN
Jahvid Best vs KC
Shonn Greene vs JAC
Reggie Bush vs HOU
BenJarvus G-E vs SD
James Starks @CAR
Cadillac Williams @NYG

Im really torn. Blount and Greene burned me last week so I'm hesitant on them.

I'm going Blount, Starks, Caddy as long as Jackson is out. If Jackson plays for some reason, swap him with Best.

JDP wrote:I got another one my wr 3:

Henderson vs. CHI or Julio Jones vs. PHI

just picked up Henderson and I'm a little worried about the Nnamdi factor with Julio.

Henderson but temper your expectations some.

I could see like 4 catches, 70 yards a touch easily though.

Jermichael Finley vs. CAR or Owen Daniels vs. MIA?

Packers, Stevie Johnson, Finley.

I'm leaning toward Harvin since KC will probably look to get their running game going with Charles and it's Vikings home opener as opposed to KC's playing on the road at Detroit...

Felix Jones vs SF defense or Blount @Minnesota?

My gut says go with Felix Jones but Blount could have a bounce back game and TB could run the ball more than last week.

Bowe and Jones without the need for any second thought.

I actually like Blount some this week, but I think Jones busts out big time this week and I'm not trusting McNabb one iota even if Bowe isn't a great play at this point.

RaoulDuke79 wrote:2 RB, 2 WR, 1 FLEX spot:

Charles/Blount/Cadillac/Tate/Greene/DeAngelo?

Leaning towards Charles/Blount/Cadillac, but if Tate is heavily involved again this week I might have to go with him over one of them(probably Blount, though Charles has a tougher matchup I guess). I have zero confidence in either Greene or DeAngelo, though I am sure if I bench them they'll have monster games.

For my WR's, I have Roddy/Marshall/S. Johnson/Bryant.

I am leaning towards Marshall/S. Johnson this week, though I would usually not ever bench Roddy.

Decisions, decisions...

Charles is a must start still, well at least with your backs.
I'd go Blount as the 2nd.
Caddy as the flex play.

Foster might not see the workload he usually does, but barring any setbacks he's still the lead back and he's a lot better then Tate even if Tate is no slouch.

WR's I'm going Marshall and Stevie Johnson.

Bleeding Blue wrote:Pick my flew player, non PPR

S Smith vs. GB, ocho Cinco vs. SD, Julio Jones @ PHI, or Jacoby Ford @ Buf.

Originally I was gonna play ben tate, but it looks like foster is playing now. I cant see S. Smith having a repeat game, but the other three are risky too....SJax getting hurt screwed my team

Call me crazy but I'm going with the Chad.

Bank Shot wrote:Pick 2 to go along with Charles: .5 PPR

Starks @ Car
DeAngelo vs. GB
Ingram vs. Chi
Addai vs. Clev

Leaning towards Starks and Ingram right now. I feel like their teams will be up in the 2nd half and run a lot.

Starks and Ingram.

PPR
Start 2 RB: Foster vs. Mia / Tolbert vs. NE / DeAngelo W. vs. Pack / Addai or Carter vs. Cle

Hmm...

Definitely McFadden. Think you have to start Johnson too, but that matchup is brutal. Not even necessarily cause the Ravens run defense is that good, cause it's not, but because their overall defense is tough, Tennessee sucks and they might have to more or less abandon the run altogether.

I would really love to tell you to bench him for Beannie, I'm buying the hype on him some and like his matchup, but I feel dirty doing it lol.

In the second one, I'm going Foster and Tobert without question.
Look for him to have another solid game, maybe 85 total yards and TD if not 2.

I don't think Tolbert is going to be some week in week out must start stud, but he should be nice this weekend again, his trade value will never be higher, seize the opportunity on Monday! :)

I don't love any of these options so much, but I don't hate any of them either.

I'll go Floyd.

Floyd has the most upside, he could go off for a huge game and should at least get you some solid points.

Any thoughts on if Nicks will be playing/his impact? They say he has been practicing, but since the game is MNF I am worried, especially since I have no one to sub in on a Monday.

It is basically him or Plaxico. So I'm leaning Nicks.

I'd wait on Nicks and then just pick up Gibson or Hixon just in case he can't go.

For my TE spot (.5 PPR):

Daniels @ Miami
Keller vs. Jac

Williams/Stewart don't suck. They just have a garbage line (especially with Otah out) and a rookie QB. Both guys have a lot of talent That's not the best situation for a running back. Th Otah thing is big. Williams averages something like 5+ ypc with Otah in and 4ish with him out.

But ya, no question pick the Packers D. Cam has looked like absolute garbage besides last week. I'd be surprised if he looked anything but awful this week.

Nice call Bro, I ended up getting Wayne in a trade mid-week but Stevie would've been better option....luckily this didn't cost me thanks to my RB's.
