He should. They had literally no on that team last year. Lots of young prospect.

He'll always be "Scam" to me.

I'm not sure I've ever flipped on a player so quickly... I could not have been more down on Newton, particularly given the lockout, but he performed beyond my wildest expectations. That's not to say he's a HOFer or anything, but he's clearly an NFL quarterback.

Lattimore just went for a career high 246 yards and 3 touchdowns tonight.

That's ALREADY 534 yards, through three games. If he keeps this pace up, he'll end up with over 2100 yards!!

What's 2100 yards in basketball terms SWeed? 30ppg? 35ppg? 40ppg?

Eg: how impressive would 2100 yards in a season be?

2000 yards in the NFL has only been done 6 times: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_rushing_yards_club

2000 yards in college football has only been done 14 times: http://collegefootball.about.com/od/his ... c-2000.htm

Those are both extremely exclusive clubs. I'd compare it to a 40-50-90 year, a quadruple double, and to a lesser extent, a five by five.

Game over. WCE by 3. WOW - amazing game.

BTW Sachmo: For all his skills (and they are boundless), Marc Murphy is a disgusting flopper. He makes Boomber Harvey look like a hard man he's that bad. It's embarrassing just how willing/quick/natural Murphy is when it comes to looking like he's been shot. He'd put most soccer players to shame.

Just as well the Blues have Robinson to offset Murphy. Robinson is a fracking animal. I love his attack on the ball. A real throw back player - but with modern day skills.

WOW!!

So if 2100 is almost unheard of, how many yards is a 20ppg season?

Oh, and P.S. Sachmo: Walker was ROBBED. Should have been a free in the square for the hold.

4th qtr of a super close game (a final no less) be dammed. A free is a free.

Robo is a crazy Tasmanian, not sure there is much upstairs but he makes up for it with psychosis.

It's hard to see from the stands, but hated the umpiring in the second quarter. Seems like they got about 3 goals from dodgy umpiring decisions when we were in the position to really blow the game wide open.

Its always easy to blame the umps, but thats just how I felt at the time.

Overall we slacked off at times and we should have played Hampson. He kicked 6 goals last week in the VFL and is a good ruckman. Setanta got killed in the ruck.

Was wondering what you thought about it, was a little bit of home cooking in this game.

Assuming 20 or so players score 20 ppg, I'd say that compares to about 900 rushing yards in the nfl and about 1200 in college football.

One of my best mates back home is a rabid Eagles supporter (he's from WA) and I've been into him all year telling him the Eagles have got WAY too much love from the umpires this season. There was a game Vs the Tigers earlier this year where the frees for were something like 28 to the against 11. Sure did seem that the Eagles got the soft end of the pineapple again today - even though it was only 29-22.

Still, you guys got killed out of the middle. Kerr was vintage and Warnock couldn't repeat his amazing effort of last week.

End of the day though, as a 3rd party with no vested interest in the outcome, it was a great game to watch.

Commentators kept saying it was deafening there. Can only imagine what it must have sounded like in the stands?
