Is there a worse interview on the team than Adam Lind?

We win the series! These Jays... last month against mostly weak teams (2 series with Orioles, 2 series with Athletics, Mariners, Royals. Royals and LAA being the 2 stronger teams) we go a little under .500. Now we are 9-7 so far this month with games mostly against NYY and Boston.

Nobody ever doubted that Morrow had the stuff and the ability to dominate. That was never in question. This year he's been a fairly inconsistent pitcher. Over his last 6-8 starts he's probably been good for 3-4 of those. Half the time, the very definition of inconsistent.

And that will give the team a boatload of excuses not to spend large in free agency.

you have to give AA a little more credit than that...pretty sure he's not going to base his off-season non-acquisitions on a one month sample size from players already on the roster.

I'm sure AA isn't going to be taken in. Nor are other teams. This is about the BS they can heap on fans to get them to buy tickets even when the Jays don't make any major free agent signings (or even throw offers at important free agents).

With half the lineup out in a (clearly) a meaningless game! Woohoo!

the team as is, at 100% health, is good enough for me to grab a flex pack for next season. escobar, bautista, lawrie, rasmus, and romero, plus younger players with decent to solid upside like jpa, alvarez, and thames, are talented enough to pay to see on a bi-weekly basis, at least.

they are not going to try and sell the strong finishes of players like lind, ee, and francisco to the fans in an attempt to increase gate revenue. and even if they did, who would actually be dumb enough to buy into that. but regardless, they don't need to heap anything on fans...fans everywhere know this team is on the cusp of competing and i think even smaller signings, a trade for a middle-of-the-order upgrade, plus internal improvement should be more than enough to get fans to come out and watch on a regular basis. and based on AA tenure as GM so far, that would be the bare minimum i'd expect from him this off-season.

fwiw...EE has been pleasantly solid anyway. i would not be upset if he was the starting DH for this team next season.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).
