The Falcons have a lovely quality of being able to play like absolute crap and still win. It doesn't inspire much confidence, but as long as they keep the turnovers low it seems to work.

The Titans have had a good pass blocking Offensive line over the years. While their line play has deteriorated since 08 they still have a solid duo that bookend their line in Roos and Stewart. The issues for Tennessee recently have been the play of their interior linemen but their struggles are mostly in the run game(that is another topic). However, losing a smart and crafty Center like Kevin Mawae has certainly hurt them but with all that being said they are still a solid pass blocking team. So in yesterday's game you would noticed that the Ravens didn't get much pressure on the QB. Additionally Hasselbeck did a great job of scanning the field, targeting mismatches and getting the ball out quickly(some qualities we haven't seen in Tennessee for some time). Finally, and probably the most important reason was the match-up problems in conjunction with some questionable schemes by the Baltimore defense. Baltimore secondary was already banged up which gave some advantage to the Titans' WRs but why did they had Ed Reed playing man at times on Cook/Britt??? More mysterious is why they were in a 3-4 base when the Titans were in a 4 WR look????? There were a few times where the Ravens had a LB covering Britt in the slot, which makes very little sense to me. However, to be fair it did almost create a TO when Suggs nearly intercepted a pass but for the most part the Ravens got burnt in those schemes.

Are you watching that game? if so, what is the deal with Chris Johnson?

The deal with Chris Johnson has mainly to do with how terrible the Titans' offensive line is at run blocking. Eugene Amano has to be the worst center in the league and he is flanked by guards(LeRoy Harris and Jake Scott) who range from terrible to average on any given play. With David Stewart(the Titans best run blocking linemen) battling injuries and replacing the smart and crafty Mawae in 2010 the Titans were quite easily the worst run blocking team in the league. As a result I believe that Chris Johnson led the league in stuffs in the back field last season. With all that being said Chris Johnson struggles are not solely on the offensive line, so far he has looked rusty and not in game shape but missing camp would that to you. Which is why I was upset at both him and the organisation for taking such a long time to get a deal done.

Thanks my friend!

Vick has a better OL than Big Ben ever has and he plays a similar reckless style. I think people forget how small Vick is, he's barely 6' tall and almost all his muscle bulk is in his shoulders/chest. The hits that Big Ben and Josh Freeman and even Jay Cutler, who is about 3 inches taller and about 10 pounds heavier, can absorb seem to impact Vick more. The Eagles knew that going in, heck the Falcons knew that way back when they drafted him.

Remember the first time most anyone saw Vick, when he did the full front flip his frosh year at VT? People forget he broke his ankle on that play, and that he missed 3 games his senior year of HS with a broken bone in his wrist, or missed some of his junior year basketball season with a separated right shoulder. The tradeoff for the freakish athleticism is that he's not very sturdily built and has a injury list that goes multiple pages.

Second week in a row that the Rams have moved the ball very well (mostly) but keep making stupid and careless mistakes. They are pretty clearly the better team in this one but the Giants have the scoreboard dominated. Gotta give Eli & Co. some credit for being smart enough to not lose it. Yet.

Very true..haha

Some Falcon fans I know questioned my "fanhood" last night for making some comments about the team. The truth's the truth and I think Philly would win 2 of 3. Oh well, now it's time to focus on Tampa who's favored to win.

If the Rams ever get a receiver, they have a 10 win team in the making. 0-2, doubt they make the playoffs this year. Defense is good, but they really need to draft a receiver next season.

i always thought T.O. would be a good fit for the rams (other than the locker room issues), before he got injured

Jeff, always enjoy your articles.

Anyways, how freaking underrated is Justin Tuck? Did anyone watch that game last night? He looked so dominant, always in the middle of plays.

Rolle looks like he's good for one thing: run support. You ask him to do anything else, he becomes mediocre.

Bradford's accuracy can be scary. He can throw darts, bombs, and even on the move. Cant imagine how much Bradford would kill to have guys like Nicks and Manningham on his team.

Laurinaitis had a great great game. Tackling Bradshaw is no joke in the open field.

Manning is overrated. He's inaccurate. Remember how 8 years ago people made fun of McNabb for being inaccurate? Manning might have throw for 2 TDs, but he left a lot of yards on the field, and the passes that his receivers did catch were not always well placed. Yeah, he's probably top 5 in terms of reading defenses and diagnosing plays + progression, but he's not an accurate qb.

yeah and if i remember correctly, the giants blitzed vick nonstop last year and did collect a lot of hits on him. I'm wondering if that will factor into whether or not he plays next week.
