I was mocking ESPN nubs with that comment. :D

I don't have very much respect for any sports "journalists" or "analysts." They are all **** braindead, IMO.

Lol. The whole comment or just the good money part? As someone who has been a full time writer, I thought the post was dead on and was about to co-sign. Say it ain't so, Ayt.

Is Icness actually paid? If so, I'll apply to replace him because I could crush his level of analysis.

Definitely go for it. You have no idea what you're getting into.

I'm happy to simply be 2-0 given that's mainly all that matters this early in a season

Read and enjoyed the whole post, but this is the part that's really important right now imo. By the time the playoffs get here, we're not likely to be the same team. Naturally I'd like them to play incredible ball for the length of the season, but the way they play now doesn't make me more or less confident about how they'll be at the end of the season. The youth of our team will likely (once again) spur a substantial amount of in-season growth.

If we're winning now, we should be well positioned in the standings for when we hit our stride. And if we don't hit our stride, it's still not going to matter that we weren't in top form in week 2.

I think it's interesting that we're on pace for 56 sacks through 2 weeks but also complaining about the pass rush. And for the record, I definitely agree the pass rush is a concern based on the eye test so far. It seems like we aren't getting much "middling" pressure, the predominant amount of the plays are either sacks or us getting completely stonewalled. I think that is primarily because we're not creating much pressure with the defensive line. Seems like our sacks have been almost exclusively of the coverage variety where the QB has the ball a long time first. Maybe I'm off on that though.

Off the top of my head, I can think of two yesterday that weren't coverage sacks, those being the one where Raji blew up the middle and the one where Clay came off the edge and was shed before Cam saw Bishop coming and hit the dirt. Clay also got that one where he ran Cam out of bounds -- that one I'd say was half coverage, but Clay did get timely pressure to chase him out. Burnett's was a chase down after Cam was flushed, but I can't remember how long Cam stood back there first.

wer not a lockdown D
we are built on the takeaways
wer built for ints, creating fumbles
and capitalizing on those

im not worried about the D
i think the 1st thing that need to get cleaned up
is NOT allowing pass plays of 15+ yards

keep everything in front of us
and eliminate the big passing plays
and long receptions

do that, and im happy with the D

I like the Cam comparisons to a bigger Steve McNair

That's super scary, but yet pretty accurate.
