and if and when he ever comes to charlotte to play a game the best he can hope for is that the boos from the tarheel fans don't drowned out the apathy from the other fans.

Just thinking about our team and Maggette. He probably will get the go ahead to play the Jax role and be the main man.

It really is quite possible that we could see some career numbers from him this year. Especially if Diaw continues to start, he could really boost his rebounding numbers. What do you think?
More importantly do you think we could get someone to bite and trade for him if he does put in a
20+ pts, 7 rebs effort?

One time at a history conference a speaker referred to sporting events as "the last opportunity for men to behave badly in public." I think you've hit it on the head, that "opportunity" is almost gone in the United States.

I'm not sure I'm going to miss it, because I was never big on being an **** fan anyway, but it's an interesting phenomenon from a detached perspective. It's the power of capitalism to enforce standards of behavior on consumers; owners want the greatest demand for their tickets as possible, and that means creating an environment where everyone is welcome... which means transforming the behavior of fans at games.

the big $ tickets at nba games do not have the "real" fans
richies and corporate tickets r all down there
they dont get there when the game begins
theyr texting or in and out the whole game
they dont know whos on their teams bench

this is not good for fandom
