Definite trade/possible trade scenario

Post#1 » by SeniorWalker » Tue Sep 20, 2011 3:16 pm

Current Roster

QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Frank Gore, RB DeAngelo Williams
WR Jeremy Maclin, WR Percy Harvin
TE Rob Gronkowski
D/ST Patriots
K Robbie Gould
RB James Starks, RB Jonathan Stewart, RB Jason Snelling, RB Derrick Ward
WR Santana Moss, WR Jacoby Ford, WR Deion Branch
QB Kevin Kolb

I need stability at RB, and a little more strength at WR. Looking for WR upgrade.
DeAngelo Williams sucks.
DeAngelo Williams sucks.

*Actual Trade proposed*:

Me (Out): QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Jeremy Maclin
Guy(In): RB Michael Turner, WR Steve Smith

I could accept this, but I'm trying to counter with this:

Me(out) QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Jeremy Maclin, RB DeAngelo Williams
Guy(In) RB Michael Turner, WR Calvin Johnson, QB Eli Manning

Now in reality I want nothing to do with Eli Manning, but I'm also trying to ship DeAngelo out asap, though he could turn it around any week now and is supposed to get the lion's share in Carolina. Just remember waiting for that last year in my 10 team league and it hurt me. Aaron Rodgers is an MVP candidate, but I'd be totally cool with a Gore/Turner/Starks RB core, plus I've got Turner's handcuff. Kevin Kolb is no top QB, but as long as I can get at least 20 pts from a QB weekly (Which he's been doing), I'll be ok with starting him.

I tried to do Rodgers and Maclin for Turner and Calvin J, but the guy loves him some Calvin J and declined (and for obvious reason).

Any other options?

*Note: Other players on this guy's roster:

Matt Schaub QB
Peyton Hillis RB
Darren Sproles RB
Brandon Pettigrew TE
A.J. Green WR
Daniel Thomas RB
Sam Bradford QB
Dez Bryant WR
Jermaine Gresham, TE

Your running back situation is stronger than your WR situation.
If it were me, I'd try and do DeAngelo Williams, Jonathon Stewart & one of your WR's
for Michael Turner and a better WR.

try and grab AJ Green if he declines...had one monster game so far but hes a rookie and his owner might not realize his actual value. He's hopefully going to have a big season. I feel you on Deangelo im in the same boat and I dont like to have underachievers, even on my bench.
