I thought a thread like this could could be warranted to discuss extensions, major injuries, possible trades, and other random detritus.

Ngata signed a large extension today, which could have ramifications for Raji in a year or two.

The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to a five-year contract on Tuesday, the team announced.

His agent, Mike McCartney, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Ngata will get $40 million in the first two years of the deal. A source familiar with the deal told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the total value of the deal is $61 million.

That seems like a major haul. I'm wondering how much of that is guaranteed.

DL Igor Olshansky signed a 1-year deal with the Dolphins.

I thought he might be a guy that we would bring in to look at.
