lol, Benitez... lol... Inter need to follow in the footsteps of Roma and get younger, and pray to god that players like Sneijder and Pazzini dont want to jump ship.

yeah he does, love his energy level and aggressiveness. his touch leaves a bit to be desired, but i can only see good things from him in the future.

Different culture, language, league, team, coach, being away from home.

It's definitely harder for a S American guy to make it in Europe than for a European player who only goes to another country.

The last British manager to manage in Serie A was Roy Hodgson and he did manage Inter. I'm getting my hopes up unnecessarily but it would be great to see an English manager at a top club overseas.

I think it's pretty much set that Ranieri will be the new Inter boss.

Milan looking for their first win in Serie A (or maybe even the season?) going up against Udinese. Should be an interesting one, to say the least.

Ibra, Robinho, and Flamini are unavailable, that bench is yikes!

Lineups

Milan

Abbiati
Abate -- Silva -- Nesta -- Zambrotta
Nocerino -- Van Bommel -- Seedorf
Aquilani
Casino-- Pato

Udinese

Handanovic
Denatia -- Danilo -- Domizzi
Armero -- Asamoah -- Radu -- Isla -- Basta
Torje -- Di Natale

I like Isla a lot, would love to see him in a Roma uni. I'm gonna go with a 1-1 draw.

Milan getting the best of it, but Udinese looks decent on the break.

Di Natale is a goal hound! Terrible by Abbiati. Torje looks like a useful player though.

How is Klose doing for Lazio? I heard he scored the game winning goal.

I haven't seen lazio play, mostly because I'd rather plunge out my eyeballs with a fork :).

Quite simply, Milan look toothless in attack, they lack that cutting edge in the final third. I'm sure theyll be desperate to get their forwards healthy, but its more than that. Napoli and Udinese have exposed them, and Abate has shown he isn't good enough defensively when going up against quality players. Aquilani has been underwhelming to say the least, and Cassano drifts in out too much to be the best goal scoring threat. Silva is pure class though, and even though Nesta has been showing his age, he's still very good. Dont know what to make of El Shaarawy, his goal was nice, and he was connecting well outside the box, but... Id need to see more. He'll get his chance to with all the injuries.

I have no idea why Taiwo hasn't been featured, he is better going forward than Abate, and can't be any worse defensively. Abate to me is a rich mans Rosi.

Well, I'm getting really **** tired of Enriques selections and tactics. Osvaldo is not a freaking winger, Perrotta and Borriello are useless yet continue to play, he won't play Bojan (yet apparently wanted him), and we are just getting raped on the counter.

Im all for having patience, but this is getting annoying, we are too talented to play like this

I am still not concerned with Milan. Of course their attack looks like crap after losing Ibra, Robinho, Boateng, and not Pato hurts a lot...not to mention Inzaghi still isn't match fit. We can look at their other injuries as well: Gattuso, Flamini, Ambrosini, Antonini, Bonera, Mexes (who would be nice to have over Yepes for when they need to give Nesta a rest). Taiwo just healed from injury. I'd prefer him on the left over Zambrotta/Antonini when he becomes fully match fit again. They had to bring up 4 youth players for today's game, and El Shaarawy has tons of potential but doesn't even turn 19 till next month.
Good news for them is that Ibrahimovic, Boateng, Robinho, Ambrosini, Mexes, and Antonini will all be back in the next 1-3 weeks.

I missed most of the second half of the Roma game on Thurs, but in the first half they looked so much better than any of the other game this season. I still can't figure out why Osvaldo continues to start either. I'm not sold on Bojan but would like to see what he can do, and as i've mentioned i love Borini :)
I still think the best sign for them is that De Rossi is looking great after a sub-par season last yr. Kjaer is playing real well on defense too.

Inter plays Bologna today (in about an hour) vs Bologna. I predict Ranieri will get a win in his debut, but they will be without Sneijder. I know he is a much better motivator than Gasperini will ever be, and though he is not the greatest tactician, he will have them playing some good football.
Sneijder, Stankovic, Maicon, Thiago Motta are all expected to be fit again in the next 1-2 weeks.

Nice prediction :)

I like Torje also, he is going to be real good. I'm glad to see Udinese is still strong after losing three of their best players...but for everyone who says they lost their best player, Di Natale has been their best for years!

Lazio still looks good also. Klose is doing very well with them, as is Cisse.

No one here likes to talk about how amazing Pirlo is, and how good Juve look...so I had to add that 8-)

In fairness to me, in the rankings thread I said Juve were the best team in Italy along with Napoli. Milan could REAAALLY use Pirlo right now too.

What do you think of Aqui? He's been disappointing every time I've watched him.

Di Natale and Handanovic are very underrated. Hand is a world class goalie, yet doesn't seem to get that kind of love. Di Natale has scored something like 60 goals in 2 years!! But he never gets mentioned with other world class finishers. Basta and Isla are quality a well, and Torje has been called be "Romanian messi" so he has a lot of hype as well. Udinese will continue to be a solid team, especially with Guidolin at the helm, who I consider to be one of the best in italy.

I think Aquilani will do well at Milan. Once he's in there again around the creativity of Ibra, Cassano, Boateng/Robinho I think he will shine. He is a playmaker more than an attacker, and they've been forced to put him in a more advanced roll than he is comfortable with so far.

I like Guidolin too. I've always preferred the likes of him and Delio Rossi over Del Neri and Gasperini who both failed at their attempts to manage a big club.

Inter with their first win today, Napoli drew vs. Fiorentina who looks pretty good so far, and Milan won.
Glad to see Ranieri starting Pazzini. I don't know what was going thru Gasp's mind hardly ever playing him

Really hoping we can pull through and get our first win tommorow. We usually have slow starts, so this is nothing new, but 3 points would just really make me feel good about the whole direction our team is taking. I'm gonna just jump off a bridge if osvaldo is out wide and Borini is excluded again. Lamelas debut will have to be postponed another week it seems.

So i only caught most of the 2nd half of the Roma game, and I must say, much better game. Totti was dominating as was Pjanic, and Osvaldo finally looked useful. Idk if it was Enrique, but Osvaldo was more central and looked much more dangerous. I was even impressed by the brief few minutes Bojan had. Our defense is still shaky, Burdisso/Heinze will not get it done. I expect things to improve when Juan is back and Kjaer gets fit (only reason i can think of as to why he wasn't featured). I also expect us to go after a solid defender in the winter transfer. Things are starting to come together, our passing looked much crisper, and we were switching the ball well, and playing at a faster tempo. The passes must be quicker and more incisive to break down the defenses we will see, as most teams will assuredly sit back and try to counter us.

I will say this, if Parma are to avoid relegation, it will be entirely on the back of Giovinco. Class player, deserves time at a bigger club.

Sadly, Crespo is useless. It's almost sad to see him with a head full of gray hair, but he should retire soon.
