From what I understand Russell and Wilt would be competitive in that category... but they didn't record them back then.

I've been tossing up for a while whether to take this next player or not. He hasn't got many accolades but talent wise he could have been as good a power forward as you will ever see.

Under strong leadership in his first few years he managed to put up good numbers without a being too much of a cancer. I'm hoping being with a team full of winners could keep him in check.

For the journeyman category I'm taking Derrick Coleman.
Who once averaged 20.5pts, 11 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 stls and 1.6 blocks.

There wasn't much he couldn't do on the court, pity he didn't have the attitude to match his talents.

How many modern centers do you know can get 5 assists night in and night out? I can think of only one.

My next pick just happens to be one of the most versatile big men to play the game. He's easily one of the best big passers, a great rebounder, efficient scorer, and a good defender.

One of the greatest European players ever....

Sam Lacey did it in 79-80 (hardly modern) and Ruland in 85-86 (never heard of him).

jeff ruland was a very solid center until he got rocked by injuries.

brad daugherty was another great passing center, but he never had 5 assists per game. he could have if they ran offense more though him than price though.

that being said divac and sabonis were the two best that ive seen.

So, incredible as it sounds, we're almost out of Hall of Famers who actually were decent. An even shorter list is Hall of Famers who could provide my team with a little bit of shooting off the bench (only 12 guys have 1 3P/GM in a season!). But there is one player who makes that list, a man who had only touched his prime just barely before having his life cut tragically short:

Drazen Petrovic
1992-3: 22.3ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.5apg, 1.3spg, .518 from the field, .449 from 3, .870 from the line.

There are a couple of guys here I'd like to take, but I don't have the categories for them. I now regret some of my slotting decisions. Why don't we allow those to move again?

Blah anyway I'll take Mel Daniels for Glass Cleaner.

Those are the numbers my next pick put up in his best statistical season. Pretty average right? Here's a question though... How many players have more rings than MJ? 9. How many of those players WEREN'T on the 50s-60s Celtics dynasty? Just 1.

But I'm picking this next player because when my team is in the finals and needs a big bucket to win or tie the game..... you can throw it to this guy and be confident he'll wet that ****

He's so clutch his Wikipedia page has a "Clutch Shots" section!

These players are only going to play in spurts off the bench if at all, so why not get someone who at the very least will bring excitement and entertainment. So for the Mecca category I pick World B. Free.

He got his name from his days in Brooklyn, where a friend nicknamed him "World" because of his 44-inch vertical leaps and 360-degree dunks. He was known for taking high-risk shots and playing flamboyantly.

He once averaged 30pts at 47% Fg and 36% 3pters to go with 3.5 rebs, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals.

I don't want to sound like a Aussie homer here but Luc Longley was another good passing center.

He will generally will be known as the token center on one of the best teams of all times, but his passing skills did really suit that Chicago offense.

I'm not one of the older fellas, but Free was just lightning quick and that pretty much made him unstoppable, he drew a lot of fouls because of his speed.

But he was a great scorer and that's it, probably a bit of a ballhog. That's judging by the games I've seen and books I've read.
