Could the Yanks win 100 games?

Could be tight but not impossible especially if the Yanks play those hungry kids for a shot...Psst Girardi Jesus Montero would benefit from more at bats.

It would be nice but I sorta don't want them to. That would involve beating the Rays at least 2 more times and I really want them to overtake the Red Sox for the Wildcard.

See, I want the Red Sox for the Wild Card.

Tampa's rotation has allowed the least # of runs in the AL. Tampa's rotation can go deep into games. While as the Red Sox are learning much like the 2004 Yanks the bats will eventually hit the wall as it gets later in the season. Their rotation is in shambles as evidenced by the O's touching up Beckett (meaning he's not healthy when they rushed his ankle back). A team like Detroit will eat the Sawx alive....a team like Tampa, plays like they have nothing to lose.

Don't see it. They'd have to win 5 of 7 games, and Girardi's probably going to be giving Jeter, Tex, Cano, A-Rod, Granderson some rest before the playoffs.

And I'd rather see Tampa in the playoffs than the Red Sox. The Rays lineup sucks. If the Yankees can get 3-4 runs in a game against the Rays I don't see them losing (at least with CC and Nova pitching). On the other hand, the Red Sox lineup can expose the Yankees weakness, the starting pitching. CC has pitched horribly against the Red Sox, and we know Beckett has the Yankees number this year. Either way, I'm much more confident going into the playoffs now then I was thinking about the playoffs a month ago.

Wow. I didn't think younger Yankee fans were scared of the Sawx. Kinda pathetic actually.

I don't even know why I'm responding to you because you're the most irrational fan on this forum, but who said anything about being scared? I said the Yankees matchup better against the Rays than the Sox. The Yankees starting pitching is capable of shutting down the Rays lineup. CC has had problems all year against the Red Sox, and their lineup is more then capable of beating the Yankees starting pitching.

If you read my last sentence you would see that I said " Either way, I'm much more confident going into the playoffs now then I was thinking about the playoffs a month ago."

I simply hate the red sox and would love it if the team everyone pegged as the favorite to win it all were to miss the playoffs. Kinda pathetic that you have to put words in peoples mouths for no apparent reason whatsoever.
