Interesting video. His wingspan is ridiculous.
I like that he's watching how Deron Williams uses his weight to get guys to shift and Chris Paul in the PNR.

Re: Reggie Jackson: Goin' To Work
I got a really good feeling about this kid.
His body is just perfect for an NBA point guard. Very athletic, very strong, very quick and incredible wing spam. Also, his work ethic, his approach seems right and I believe he is also very smart.
Hopefully he develops into a nice PG, I definitely see a potential Chauncey Billups in him, just more athletic.

Re: Reggie Jackson: Goin' To Work
I'm impressed with that video. Trade Westrbook for Dwight!!!
No but seriously that's impressive. With that wingspan he can afford to be a bit heavier/slower/stronger than the other point guards without losing defensive ability, and still have the strength advantage on the other end. Him and Westbrook would have to be the most athletic point guard rotation out there.
What do you guys reckon about backup PG minutes, will Reggie beat out Maynor for his spot? Will someone get traded? Is Maynor's tempo control too important to lose?

Re: Reggie Jackson: Goin' To Work
I think of him more of a James Harden-lite combo guard, or maybe a supersized George Hill. He has size to guard both guard positions, and his offenive repertoire is pretty well balanced between pick and rolls, spot up shooting and isolation. I doubt he is as good as Harden, but I guess he was drafted because he could bring to our bench a similar skillset, and I guess he'll be better than Maynor, because he's bigger, stronger and more athletic. Also, he's a good rebounder.

Re: Reggie Jackson: Goin' To Work
As long as Westbrook and Maynor dont get traded or injured, Reggie Jackson will be the 3rd option at PG spot. Maynor is the perfect backup for Westbrook.
We will see how Reggie works out, probably in very limited minutes next year.

I think Jackson has the size to play both guard positions.

Re: Reggie Jackson: Goin' To Work
I really like our guard rotations sans Thabo but that can be solved by regulating him to backup minutes at SF.
Westbrook/Harden/Maynor/Jackson is pretty solid.
