After watching five minutes of basketball wives LA ive lost all sympathy for arenas. his ex is definitely a crazy bitch who **** up our team. but seriously it's his own damn fault for ever being with her. the crazy is obvious and she's nowhere near close to hot, he had no excuse.

it's just like someone getting taken by a 419 scam (answering one of those emails from a nigerian prince).

booze is such a ridiculously powerful drug, i'm perpetually amazed by it's effects. i went from dog ass tired an hour ago after playing a marathon session of pickup hoops... with a linear goal of taking a hot shower, demolish leftovers, watch backlogged episodes of entourage, hell's kitchen, and jersey shore (in that order), mess around on the internet, and then passing out to...

I'M READY TO RAGE!

as my friend just texted me: "if you don't go out this weekend, the terrorists win."

all this from a post-dinner glass/bottle of shiraz.

Freaking Vegas.

Been here since Tuesday on some R&R. Work has really sucked lately, so my wife gave me a week's pass to hang out with some friends, see the University of Hawai'i vs UNLV football game tomorrow, and just forget about work.

So, yesterday during the day, we're at Aria when we decide to play some blackjack. And I do decently. I'm up a few hundred dollars. Cool. We ditch, go our own ways for a bit, and reconvene for dinner.

After dinner, I just wanted to chill. Catch some live music somewhere, have a few beers, etc. But noooooo. One of my friends just had to push our luck and hit the tables again.

Did you know that at Planet Hollywood casino, they put half-nekkid go-go dancers right up over your blackjack table? I'm trying to protect my winnings from Aria, but there's this very young Latina, dressed in a thong, garters, fishnets, and hooker heels - and she's gyrating her big (I mean that in a good way), round, smooth bootie in your face while you're trying to play some Blackjack.

Faster than you can say "stripper pole", my 500 bucks from Aria was gone. Plus some of my money too.

It's just unfair.

concur with Kev on kidney stones

I had one once. Thought I was gonna die, hoped I would.

waited a long time on a not very busy night in the ER for them
to deal with me. It must have just cleared (I don't remember passing it)
and 5 minutes later they came in and gave me dilaudid IV. I went to college
in the 70s and we partied plenty hardy but that was a huge buzz to say the
least. I remember listening to Django on my iPod for the next hour. Not sure
why I picked that but it sounded freakin awesome.

grateful to have not had any further stones. Excruciating to say the least.

Vegas is awesome bro! Glad you're having a good time. There's a similar set up at Caesars. You cna play black jack while you have Pussycat Doll dancers dancing nearby. It's very distracting. I do my best gambling intoxicated. Trying to go back next Summer for sure.

BTW, guys can anyone tell me if it's normal to have an 8-12 week delivery on furniture? I'm closing on my condo hopefully by this week, and that's the estimate I got, which is ridiculous. I don't think I can go 2-3 months without a sofa.

maybe my being a distance runner is what prompts me to
wonder about such things but can anyone come up with
a significant consequence if humans didn't have any toenails?

I didn't think so.

Just following the improbable with a consequence even more improbable. Toe and finger nails seem like vestigal shields form a time when the digits needed more protection. With proper footwear, maybe a lack of toe nails wouldn't make much difference at all (that's assuming there's not an exposed, raw spot where the toenail should be). But you're the runner. What do you think? Or Nate?

nate had to stop running, at least for a while

fingernails are useful at least on occasion.
Toenails not so much.

^ Or could your body just be telling you that all that running is unhealthy? I mean, doesn't the story go that the very first guy to run 26 miles dropped dead afterwards? First the toenails, next you're dead. I'm pretty sure that's how it goes. That's why I stay on the couch, where it's safe.

why should I be worried about toenails

Yea, killing of that character really sucked. Mother of the Year there. Loved it when she took the hammer to her sons hand as discipline. Why didn't I think of that?

What a great show and some of the best characters ever. Walton Goggins as Boyd is one of the best characters in the history of TV.

To anyone who hasn't watched it, do. Best show on TV....by far.

It's a great show. The scene where Martindale's and Goggins's characters speak at the town meeting is outstanding.
