who was playing pg for team leonard? was it kemba?

if so, is it troubling that he did such a seemingly bad job of getting biyombo shots, when by all accounts biz was open?

Kemba and Isiah Thomas Jr were switching off. Neither guy was passing the ball much.

Though to be fair, Kemba was probably trying to show up Jimmer, and Isiah was trying to get his name out there.

The fact that they were on the same team together, started together, and played a lot together tells me they're pretty close/cool with each other, so I'd expect him to look for Bismack a lot when the real games start.

Pretty much. He was the starting PG and other than the few times he and Thomas were on the court together, Kemba was pretty much running the show.

Kemba was the starting PG and he took the equal most amount of shots on the team.

20 shots Vs only 4 assists.

Did we really expect anything else from Kemba though?

I thought he showed more of a willingness to pass in the 2nd half. That's at least a little promising?

I feel like DJ would have had 15 and 7 in this game. Would you rather 20 and 4 or 15 and 8, assuming equal turnovers? I dunno.

I know what you mean, but I think that regardless of the stat line you - and the opposition - would notice Kemba more than they would DJ if they were both playing in that game.

Thus distracting them from Bismack! It's genius!

Look at him flat out working Jimmer off the dribble. I don't think he's going to have any issue getting into the lane for buckets and dump offs to the bigs for dunks. He's definitely going to make the crowd go, "OOOHHHHH" a couple of times every night.

Doesn't really show a lot of Bismack, but I expect him to be a block machine whenever he gets a chance to play. You can tell he has a supreme quickness both mentally and physically on the defensive end.

Looking at that last one, you can see a bit of badass attitude that I'd really love to see from him. I'd love for him to have a signature swat response like Deke's finger wag. Also, it seems like him and Kemba are pretty good friends already which is great to see

It's not like Jimmer is known for his D. If anything it's the biggest knock on him. That said, I agree, I don't think Kemba will have any problem getting in the the lane either. His quickness and explosion is really sweet. It will just be a matter of what he does when he gets there, eg: will he finish, get blocked, get fouled or be willing to drop the ball off to the bigs if he draws the D.

I already like Biz more than I ever liked Okafor (and I was a big Okafor supporter during his Charlotte days).

And this is a big reason why:

Cheers SWEDD, I shall live vicariously through these highlight clips until the season goes ahead.

They had way more highlights from the game than those clips show though.

Agreed love Biyombo's swag....the head nod to Kemba does indeed show a killer lurking beneath the smiling exterior.

EDIT-I should say that you can see the great potential for the p'n'r between these 2, Biyombo seals off great.

Add the fact that this kid isn't even 20 yet, and I feel certain that this kid is going to be special one day. You can teach post moves, but you can't teach killer instinct.

I hope he isn't 20 yet...lol

I think we drafted Kemba & bitchsmack obviously for their ability but their attitude aswell.

Obviously Biyombo wants to kill everyone on the court & has crazy intensity & hustle.

I think the nod to Kemba might have been saying "pass me the damn ball!!"

With the intensity and killer instinct these two bring to the floor they don't have to become stars. We just need some luck in the draft or upcoming free agency. Could you imagine the intensity these guys bring teamed with a wing scorer like Harrison and an in the paint beast like Dwight Howard? That is why I hope the season is scrapped! I am not confidant at all that we are going to be as bad as you guys think. Just imagine if Kemba shocks the world winning rookie of the year putting up 17, 5, and 5 type numbers, and Bismack suprises everyone with 10,10, and 2. No way we are a bottom five team if this happens.

LOL, Quick even if they did we'd prob still be a bottom 5 team....

Also the way they arrange the draft picks by prior record/draft picks then we would prob be closer to picking at 10 than 1.

Which of the eight teams that finished worst than us last season got so much better that you feel they will still eclipse us even if Kemba wins the ROY?

That hasn't even been determined yet. Everything that we have heard is pure speculation. If Kemba and Bismack have great seasons odds are that Maggette will too. If Kemba and Maggette replace the scoring we lost with Gerald and Jack and the other guys just do what they do we will be lucky to be picking ninth of tenth. I am worrying about picking at the very back of the lottery.
