Just finished watching SI's stream of game.
Three Kings played,Tyreke and Thompson on Philly,Dante on Melo's team.
Tyreke played like rookie Tyreke,no problems beating his man and strong around hoop. No evidence of any lingering foot problems in this game. Outside shot was on early, not so much late, still falls backwards when shooting Js,wasn't really too intent on passing.
Dante wore neon yellow/green sneakers, can't decide whether I loved them or hated them. Had a pure Dante game, one high-light play sandwhiched between 3pt clanks and turnovers. Interesting that Dante usually defended Tyreke, who went at him hard. And I do mean hard. Dante played Tyreke tough, either bothering or blocking shots off penetration, but Tyreke step-backs lost Dante.
Thompson was kind of meh, often defending LeBron. As probably the tallest player in game, surprising how little impact he had. Couple nice rbounds,a blocked shot or two,but no low-post game and not on few outside Js he took. Of course, the game was all about the guards jacking up shots.

Some general,non-Kings specific notes.
Surprised at how much LeBron,Melo and Paul played. They played almost whole game.
LeBron wasn't in to it early, crowd booing got him going. He was dreadful at FT line, still has no low-post scoring game.
CP3 wasn't looking to shoot at all,he was out there to pass.(He really only took a shot in retaliation for his man driving on him.)
Carmelo was a fouling machine, but as announcers had fun w/it,if your name is on the team, you're not fouling out. He and LeBron did most of scoring for their team. In warm-ups he made several 3s from @5-6 ft beyond 3 pt line-and looked natural doing it.
On a general note, none of the guys 6'4" and taller showed they had any concept of how to make a layup or a simple shot in close. The finger roll is completely foreign to them-instead it's either a dunk attempt or a double-clutch reverse off backboard.

Those Evans highlights gave me flashbacks from his rookie season when he was abusing everyone. Hopefully he is has a bounce back year this season. He has the talent he just needs to put it all together.
