DEN and PHI have a trade to announce.

DEN outgoing:
Andrew Bynum $14,900,000
Stephen Jackson $9,256,500
total:$24,156,500

PHI outgoing:
Andre Iguodala $13,531,750
Anderson Varejao $7,950,000
total:$21,481,750

We add the premier perimeter defender in the league in Andre Iguodala.14/6/6 and NBA 2nd Team All Defense, Iggy is a phenomenal playmaker that will allow Westbrook to score a bit more and Richardson to be a pure spotup shooter. Varajao is a very good defender that can play both the PF/C positions and will backup both spots.

I expressed a need for a top big and Bynum is just that. Love the core of Jrue/Turner/Millsap/Bynum for both now and the future; SJax brings defence and scoring to the SF position ensuring I remain competitive.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

#88: To continue the night of blockbuster trades, LAC and NOH have a deal to announce:

TO NOH:
Dwyane Wade ($15,691,000)
Andris Beidrins ($8,000,000)
2013 LAC 1st

Total: 23,691,000

TO LAC:
Derrick Williams ($4,602,720)
Al Horford ($12,000,000)
2012 NOH 1st

Total: 16,602,720

NOH has over 15M in cap, and can absorb the extra about 7M.

NOH accepts. Big deal here. We love it though. Beans is a TO next year, so I still have cap space to bring in some FA's. Wade is a top 3 player in his prime. We also love this move because it clearly shows our progress over time. We started with Ariza/Paul/Jack/Pondexter, and we upgraded Paul to Wade, Ariza to Afflalo, Jack to Udrih, kept Pondexter and added Brooks and Greene in the process. Plus we keep the same number of picks.

89: Kings and Heat once again agree to deal while being a deal that isn't lame :p

Kings Trade:
Wes Matthews $6,135,000
Carl Landry - $5,000,000
Tyler Honeycutt -$380,000
Samuel Dalembert - $5,000,000
Brandan Wright -$885,120

Total: $17,400,120

Heat Trade;
Al Jefferson $14,000,000
Delonte West $2,000,000
Jordan Hill $2,855,760

Total: 18,855,760

$17,400,120 Times 1.25 = 21,750,150 which is well above 18,855,760

This Trade works because it is under the 1.25 rule and Kings are about 50,000,000 after this trade so cap works to. Great dealing Miami! I felt I had to upgrade my center position and why not get a top ten center? I think Patterson will be a 20-10 monster in his prime. If he struggles I can start Hill for a while. I love my roster of Harris/Garcia/Thad/Patterson/Jefferson. Once again, great dealin

accepted. i love this trade because:

1) i get to get delonte away from lbj
2) i get a true sg in matthews who is versatile in that he can create his own shot AND PLAYS DEFENSE YEZZIR. he also makes it POUR from 3 i may give up on getting ray allen now.
3) matthews and wright both draining 3s is awesome
4) i get back dalembert who is defensive minded and can rebound very well...fit's very nicely behind gortat!
5) i love carl landry. he's a top 5 6-man. him and odom...will make a great leading 2nd unit for sure!!
6) other young pieces are good too.

The Clippers accept. it was hard to give up Wade, especially after I just got him but i get a pick, a great young player, and a top center

#90: NJ and NO have a trade to announce:

TO NOH:
Channing Frye ($5,600,000)
Anthony Morrow ($4,000,000)
Jamario Moon ($800,000)

Total: 10,400,000 * 1.25 + 100,000 = 13,100,000

TO NJN:
Aaron Afflalo ($6,000,000)
Beno Udrih ($6,925,400)
2013 LAC 1st

Total: 12,925,400

Deal Works

NOH accepts. This brings us 2 great shooters to stretch the floor for us. We also have no negative contracts now that we got rid of Udrih. We also save some money, which is key because we are going to be a big player in FA. This also gives us a more complete starting unit of Brooks/Wade/Morrow/Frye/Beans, which we like.

Confirmed. We get the perfect SG for our lineup, and a solid backup PG, as well as a 1st that could be used in future deals.

Trade #91.

EDIT: In order to stay within roster limits, prior to this trade GS releases Charlie Bell. We've still got to pay him.

OKC out / NY in:
Greg Oden - $9,400,000
2012 OKC 1st (lottery-protected from OKC)

NY out / OKC in:
Marcin Gortat - $6,790,640
Omri Casspi - $1,341,960
Next available NY 1st (most likely 2013)
Total salaries - $8,132,600

8132600 * 1.25 = 10165750 + 100K = 10,265,750 > 9,400,000; deal works

GS accepts. Risk management: Oden, healthy, will be better than Gortat, but the health risks are obviously significant.

Golden State said it all - IF Oden is healthy - look out. This is a risk the Knick can afford as Amare is comfortable at the Center and NY actually targeted Mahinmi for his post play at both ends. He is young, but has shown nice development. The pick covers Omri who NY liked, but he was at a position of depth for the Knicks and Dorrell - Amare - Oden front line would dominate. NY accepts this deal.

trade # 22

MIA sends:
Wilson Chandler ($7,000,000)
Zabian Dowdell ($788,872)

Total: $7,788,872

PHI sends:
Lou Williams ($5,176,000)
Jason Thompson ($3,001,284)

Total: $8,177,284

The salaries work within 1.25 rules because 1.25*7788872>(8177284-7788872). MIA does this to get a backup combo guard in LOU - we love lou because he's proven he can run the point in PHI. we may slide bayless to the 2 backup. jason thompson strengthens our front court significantly as he's a young and WELL-developING C! Great dealing, PHI!

Philly accepts. I need a young SF desperately and Wilson Chandler is just that. Good dealing.

The Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns have agreed to a deal:

The Clippers receive:
PG Rajon Rondo $10,000,000
SG Damion James $1,243,800
DEN 2012 1st
NJ 2013 1st
Total: $11,243,800

The Suns receive:
PF Al Horford $12,000,000
PG Jeff Teague $1,579,920
C Cole Aldrich $2,286,000
Total: $15,865,567

The Suns have the cap space to make this work

This trade gives me a great PG to play with Derrick WIlliams and Griffin, as well as two more picks.

We accept. We finally get the right player to build around in Horford. Losing a late first rounder doesn't hurt because we get back two nice young prospects.

Words cannot describe how much it hurts to let Paul George walk. :D Fields is a nice young role player too, we just simply feel like Derrick Williams will be an all-star in this league for years to come. Pairing him with Kyrie Irving is too nice a picture to pass up. Good dealing.

#95 (I think)

Cleveland and Philadelphia have a trade to announce.

Cavs out:
Boobie Gibson ($4,403,834)
Joel Przybilla ($2,000,000)
'13 Philly 2nd
= $6,403,834

Sixers out:
Ronny Turiaf ($4,360,000)
Jeremy Evans ($800,000)
= $5,160,000

Cleveland does this trade because we have a surplus of PG's and we are able to save money while adding a young wing in Evans. Good dealing, lukekarts, as always.

$5,160,000 * 1.25 + $100K = $6,550,000 - deal works.

Philly accepts. I need a backup PG and I like what Boobie brings. He's a 41.6% career shooter from 3 (on 3.5 attempts per game); and is a good scorer, pretty much replacing what I lost with the departure of Lou Williams. Joel is a hustle big to back up Bynum.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Cleveland and Washington have a trade they would like to announce.

Cavs out:
Tristan Thompson ($3,202,500)
=$3,202,500

Wizards out:
Jordan Crawford ($1,120,440)
Chris Singleton ($1,276,200)
WAS's '12 2nd
= $2,396,640

Washington has the additional salary to make this deal work financially. Cleveland does this deal to better fill out our wing situation as well as to move Derrick Williams to power forward, where we feel is his best fit for our team. Oh, Tristan, we hardly knew ye'. Good dealing, Washington.

Wolves-Bulls Blockbuster

Wolves outgoing: Chris Bosh

Total: 16,022,500

Bulls outgoing: Carlos Boozer, Taj Gibson, Ronnie Brewer

Total: $19,405,680

Salaries work. Wolves lose a 20/10 all-star PF but are able to get a decent replacement in Carlos Boozer and also add much needed depth with Taj Gibson up front and Ronnie Brewer, who will provide much needed defense in the backcourt.
