Who should the Eagles select if they get the #1 overall pick

Post#1 » by basics » Mon Sep 26, 2011 2:16 am

If the Eagles end up getting the #1 overall pick in next year's draft, who should the Eagles select if they get the #1 overall pick?

The Seahawks are the current leaders in the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes

If the Patriots get the #1 pick, who do you think they would draft?

Any team who gets the #1 pick in this draft would be stupid not to take Andrew Luck. That goes for Green Bay, New England, New Orleans, whoever.

Kind of OT, but I would take Vontaze Burfict before Coples 11 out of 10 times.

I was really high on Burflict before the season started but I've changed my tone. He looked bad their first few games. He has pretty bad instincts. Hes closer to Rey Mauluaga than Ray Lewis.

they will get a top 3 pick for sure, but it will be awkward if they get the #1

They won't take Luck, probably trade down and get an interior lineman.

BTW, Luck still has another year of eligibility. So by mid-December, he will pretty much know where he will end up, and he'll make his decision there.

I would somewhat agree w/ NE or NO, but Green Bay really has no reason to draft Luck. Why would their #1 pick sit with a clipboard for what could be 10 years?

Luck or trade it to get picks. Though, Miami got this locked.

Every single team in the NFL would pick Luck. Don't care who it is, you pick Luck and go from there.

No way. They have a better record right now, but the Eagles will get it together and be better than the Chiefs for sure.

No. Obviously teams like the Packers, Patroits, Saints, Chargers, Pitt won't be in position to get the #1 pick, but even if they did why would they use it on a QB? Even a team that has a better chance to get that pick, like the Panthers, clearly wouldn't take Luck.
