Nebraska vs. Wisconsin Lead-Up

Post#1 » by LUKE23 » Mon Sep 26, 2011 8:37 pm

Feel free to lock, but feel this game is deserving of a lead up thread.

Lots of hype already:

For some reason my buddy's wife sold me her ticket for face, only rub is that I'm sitting with a bunch of Husker fans. Oh well.

Camp Randall will be epic for this one, I absolutely cannot wait.

Bucky is favored by 9.5

Don't have a ticket, but thinking about going up with a buddy who does just for the atmosphere.

Seems to be a popular wedding weekend. Lots of people missing this and the Brewer game.

Was planning to hit up the Stadium Bar for this one with some friends but I just got hit with a ton of Law Review work and now I'm thinking I might not be able to make it. Still going to try though, should be the best atmosphere for a game ever in Madison. I think there will be a decent amount of Nebraska fans in town which should make it more interesting.

I may end up at the Stadium Bar but I think that being somewhat cramped with a $120 ticket for the game may be better than not being able to move my arms at the Stadium Bar spending $50 on beer.

My friends know a bartender there and we drink for almost free.

I do too, but that doesn't mean it won't be impossible to get to him.

Terrible, the oldest of my sisters planned her wedding this year in between the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl, some people need to check their priorities :P

Colin Cowherd thinks the Badgers are the 3rd best team in the country.

If the human Colin Cowherd was replaced by a smart ape, how long would it take for anyone to notice.

I don't hate Cowherd as many do because i've listened to his podcasts at times and IMO sometimes i think stuff he'll say is pretty spot on. His biggest problem is he tends to have to much Skip Bayless in him by trying to hard to be controversial or contrarion because it draws attention.

Speaking of Bayless, how can anyone watch his 1st and 10 show? I tried it a few times and it was absolutely brutal because of Bayless. I understand that on a show like that, they want a guy who isn't afraid to give any opinion, but Bayless only has one objective, to say things that get him attention, regardless of how ridiculous of what he says.

He definitely favors the big markets for professional sports power house schools for college, which is annoying. He hasn't talked much about USC and Ohio State lately though.

Do we have any idea if the Brewers will conflict with this? That would suck to have two epic games on at once. Hopefully the Brewers play early.
