PHI/SF?

All the games have been updated.

No line is out for the Philly/San Fran game yet.

Some tough games to wager this week. I like the Redskins at -1 quite a bit because there is no way Bradford can handle the pressure they bring.

I like the Pack -14 hosting Denver and somebody needs to find the stat about 14+ point favorites covering at home before December, it's something like 88% IIRC. My early forecast is 43-17 GB.

I like Pittsburgh getting 4 in Houston but not strong enough to put money on it. I had that line at HOU -1 in my mind. It's funny how the Texans fans have gone from thinking Super Bowl to calling for Gary Kubiak's head in one week.

I am not going to bet this week, but i really think the Colts will beat the Bucs. If the Bucs are still -10 next monday morning, i will rethink about placing a bet against them.

Icness,

Do you have any insight why the Colts have some love affair with Painter? Orlovsky outplayed him in the preseason this year and Brandstater probably did last year too. For some reason the Colts keep him over better QB's and now with Collins' concussion they brought Orlovsky back. Why dont they just cut painter? I dont get it.

From what I am reading he is going to be Painters backup....I assumed he was coming in to start....either way we are still in trouble

A handful of them stick out to me. I studied all day and placed my wagers, because I won't be able to watch any of the games this weekend. I'm heading out the country on a ship.

Some of the games are going to be very exciting. I look forward to seeing the results on Monday.

They feel like Painter can run the same offense that Manning does. Obviously not do it as well, but they wouldn't have to water down the offense or change the gameplan. At least that would be the only reason I can think of, because I agree he was not as good as Orlovsky or Brandstater.

Should be a fun hard hitting game to watch as Carolina visits Chicago. Both a 1 - 2 and they both know this is an important game. Whoever falls to 1 - 3 will have a very tough time staying relevant, and whoever wins to get to 2 - 2 will have to feel good. Chicago should win this one, but if Carolina can get to Cutler, it could get very interesting. And watching how Lovie prepares his Defense to attack Newton will be fun to see.

Icness, I'm guessing you don't get to watch all the games for your recap, and while I agree with your assessment that Cam Newton still flashes his skill, he was far from impressive in the game against Jacksonville. Without Gabbert's fumbles, and I may be biased as a Jag fan, Gabbert looked more like a natural passer than Newton.

Cam missed BADLY on many throws, most of them were to wide-open receivers.

If the Lions didn't have the history of losing like bums for decades, I wouldn't be worried about picking them for my betting pool, but im torn. On paper, and with their recent play, they should beat the Cowboys.

I dont know what to do. I went out on a huge limb last week picking them IN minnie, and for a half of football, my pick looked stupid, and screamed of fanboy. I'm trying to be objective about this, but im starting to believe, and that could ruin my picks...

Colts just put our starting FS (Bullitt) and MLB (Brackett) on the IR, things are going from bad to worse in a hurry. On a positive note, a guy that graduated 3 years after me in HS just got signed by the Colts.

It scares me too because given the matchups I would really favor the Lions. Ware vs. Backus scares the hell out of me but I really don't see the Cowboys slowing down the passing game in the times where Stafford gets time. Minny battered him repeatedly and he still managed to scrape enough throws together to engineer a win, and I was fairly impressed with the Vikings coverage too.

How much did you win for picking the Bills, anyways?
