Two trade proposals...please help!!

Post#1 » by Skooby » Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:39 pm

My team:

Jay Cutler QB
Mike Wallace WR
Mike Thomas WR
Chris Johnson RB
DeAngelo Williams RB
Dallas Clark TE
Robert Meachem WR
Cedric Benson RB
Mario Manningham WR
Jacoby Ford WR
Michael Bush RB
Jason Campbell QB
DeMarco Murray RB
Pierre Thomas RB
Robbie Gould K
Oakland DEF
Houston DEF

12 Team league. Head to Head.

Trade offer 1: Beanie Wells, Brandon Lloyd, Daniel Thomas, Torrey Smith for Chris Johnson and Mario Manningham.

Trade offer 2: Willis McGahee and Thomas Jones for Dallas Clark

What do you guys think? Should I counter with Dallas Clark for Daniel Thomas?

I'm not a big fan of either of these deals

If you list the other guys roster, suggesting a trade would be easier

Your RB situation is pretty bad so that's where I'd focus on improving

Here's his roster:

Matt Schaub QB
Larry Fitzgerald WR
Roddy White WR
Ryan Mathews RB
Daniel Thomas RB

Fred Davis TE
Eric Decker WR
Brandon Lloyd WR
Beanie Wells RB
Miles Austin WR
Willis McGahee RB
Thomas Jones RB
Bernard Scott RB

Torrey Smith WR
Stevan Ridley RB
Jason Hanson K
Philadelphia DEF

Interesting he offered me another trade while not rejecting my Dallas Clark for Daniel Thomas trade.

His latest offer: Daniel Thomas and Bernad Scott for Dallas Clark and Mario Manningham.

I screwed up drafting Peyton Manning.

I'd try to get that Clark for Thomas deal going. That would be a steal IMO. Clark looks useless without Peyton and TE is crazy deep this year. Clark isn't even a top 25 TE so far.

That guy doesn't have much in the way of RB's that are much better than yours.

If the Guy is into Clark, I'd see if you could package him with one of your QB's to upgrade to Schaub.
If you could include Manningham to get one of his bigger name WR's (R. White, M. Austin, L. Fitzgarald) as part of the deal as well

Clark isn't going to be anywhere close to usual so selling high on him is probably smart.....a couple more weeks and you'll probably get next to nothing for him.

If you could swing Ryan Mathews for Deangelo, I'd do that in a second as well.

He rejected Clark for Thomas and countered with:

Daniel Thomas, Willis McGahee and Torrey Smith for Dallas Clark and DeAngelo Williams.

I want to take it...what do you guys think?

I'd do it. I'd get whatever value you can for Williams right now. He's looking like the number 2 guy in a platoon that doesn't run a lot. I just shipped him for Boldin and I'm pretty happy about it.

If that's the best this guy is going to offer, I'd tell the rest of the league that these guys are available before considering this, because I'm not impressed with that at all.

Not sure if serious...

We seem to disagree a lot on fantasy. You seem to be a stick with big names even if they're dinosaurs or in a horrid situation type who hates gambling a touch on potential compared to sticking with consistent mediocrity.

That deal is a World Series clinching grand slam.

And if he could swing Robert Meachem for Calvin Johnson he should go with that too.

C'mon son!
