honestly, I think Tampa may be tougher than Boston in the post season. scrappy, good pitching, and speed... maybe the yankees should have played to keep these guys out.. I mean we did own them last week when we needed the wins....

what do yall think?

our SP stands a much better chance against TB than BOS

yea, which is why I said, we did beat TB when we needed to pretty easily last week... plus had we had soriano, roberston and rivera tonight, TB would have been playing boston tomorrow..

One thing I will say.. tampa has 4 good, not great, but good pitchers.. Boston with Beckett and lester could easily heat up and be very tough in the playoffs... lester was pretty good tonight, boston bats and pen have let them down again.. after the money spend on crawford and gonzales...ouch, this has to hurt for Boston.. :D

facing TB in the ALCS is a story for another day

im not sure NY can get past Det with Verlander going x2

That was brilliant, giving the starters some practice and then sending in Yankee legend Scott Proctor to blow it... Well played from Joe.

I'm a bit worried about the state of the pitching, but this team is capable of beating Verlander.

I agree, didn't we hammer him earlier this year...

It'll be a tough seeing Verlander twice in a 5 games series, hopefully their bats come to play or else it's going to be a quick series (specifically Tex and Swish not disappearing). Don't sleep on Fister, he's thrown very, very well since going to Detroit (1.79 ERA, .84 WHIP in 70 innings- 10 starts).

Thank you. Look at how many runs given up over Tampa's season. Think about CC's record vs Price. That said, the Yanks could beat either Rays or Red Sox. It's Detroit AND Texas that scares the crap outta me.

yea, for some reason those teams give us a tough time. I don't think either detroit or texas is as talented as boston , but they seem to play us well..

this team is more worried bout the BS, they stand a much better chance against TB simply b/c TB doesnt have a strong O to pounce on NY SP like BOS does

all i can say is that this season just again proved how EVERY game of the 162 games COUNTS

so whether its some early game in MAY, or in the dog days of Aug, they all count when it comes to PO considerations

It matters..
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability
