You can live with a year as LeoLovinLiberal and take it with some grace, or you can refuse...at which point we'll come up with something far, far worse. Howard changed the name of the last guy to welsh on a bet to "ipoopinmypants", but I'm guessing that we can think up something even better. Outman's In-man? YouPitchICatch? LanceMyBroadway? I've got a hundred of these.

**** your asterisk.

So the username "AA can do no wrong he is my God" is still available? Someone should make another account just so that username can be used and appreciated.
And yes Sonrise, you should man up.

Too long, unfortunately. There's a 15 character limit.
Accordingly, I've changed my LancedByBroadway suggestion to LanceMyBroadway. And frankly, I think that we ought to ditch LeoLovinLiberal and go with that, as an homage to everyone's favourite AAA scrub/bar punch-up artist, and the summer of magical jokes his name brought forth.

But they didn't actually shake hands though so all bets are off

Now, which is really the best outcome:
a) Sonrise takes his licks and changes his name
b) Sonrise refuses, but gets the name changed anyways
c) Sonrise refuses, and since it's brought up every time he posts he stops making threads
As bad as Napoli for Francisco was (wasn't really but bear with me), this was definitely the worst deal of the 2011 MLB season!

I'd go with option b). It would be epic

Also hilarious, we were closer to making the playoffs than Sonrise was to winning his bet!

Listen guys, this was the only sort of on topic response that Randy made:
I'll bet on the Orioles failing to win baseball games any time
A. Every team loses games some times
B. That wasn't my proposed bet, as clearly stated, the bet was that we would finish below the Orioles, which we didn't and I was wrong. Had Randy accepted my bet I would have gladly paid up, integrity is very important to me. But, lemme turn it around for a second, if the roles were reversed and Randy had offered the bet and then at seasons end I reminded him of it. Do you think for a second, he would pay up? I mean this is a guy that is on record as saying that he can't remember ever being wrong about anything and can not poke fun at himself.
Again, if he had said so much as ,"OK, deal" or "I accept your bet" or "You're on" then again, I would now be posting as Leolovingliberal, which to Schads credit was very funny. P.S. While I'm on a raving tangent, Schad, your posts are funny, but you too take yourself waaaaay too seriously and never poke fun at yourself and admit that you're wrong about anything. It'll be okay, if you exhibit a little self deprecating humor on occasion, I promise.

Sad you won't just take it on the chin and admit you lost the bet.
Change your name and move on.

But it's just so hard to let down that guard. What would people think if they knew that I, for instance, wanted us to trade a then-AAA Ricky Romero for a bag of peanuts because I was tired of seeing him suck in the minors? Or that I thought Brett Wallace would hit close to league average for a first baseman straight out of the gate? Or that I thought that we made a serious mistake in promoting the wrong assistant GM, as Tony LaCava was clearly a superior option to the largely-unknown Canadian, Alex Anthopolous? That I felt that we should have thought long and hard about non-tendering Jose Bautista after the 2009 season?
If posters on the Jays board knew about these things and my other mistakes (help me out here, folks), they might cease worshiping me as the prognosticative god that I am. And we couldn't have that.

**** your asterisk.

Are people seriously entertained by this thread? It shows how pathetic humans can be in my opinion.

if only someone could post a picture of weird al in a team canada bhullar jersey, crying big cartoonish tears in front of a sun rise. *crosses fingers for realGM magic*
and the double or nothing bet could be to see if norris cole (drafted 28th overall) is better than james johnson.
sonrise, have some fun with it. one of your very bold predictions was wrong. its not the end of the world.
