Also, has Stack officially announced his retirement? I know he played a handful of games last year, so I thought he was ineligible.

he's got you there paydro. stack played last year.

apparently stack recently tried to play in italy but they turned him down. i think its safe to say he hasnt officially retired and is therefore ineligible. sorry paydro.

I mean he only played 7 games, so I don't really think he's an active player. I can't believe he'll be back next year either, and if he was turned down, then he seemed to be being forced into retirement anyway.

I'm not contesting the pick, just a little curious....

its certainly not as big of a deal as the iverson pick, since iverson was a top 30 player and stack is maybe top 200.

I rescind my previous question and offer my congratulations on the great pickup!

Well as I've already mentioned, my team is being built under the assumption that they'll be playing under Pat Riley. With that in mind I already picked up a buddy for Ewing in Anthony Mason, so it's time to get Kareem a showtime friend.

This guy was one hell of an efficient scorer, shooter, and defender for those Lakers squads. His best year came for the 87-88 Championship team in which he averaged 22/4/4/2 while shooting over 50%

I was going to pick Australia's favourite son Andrew Gaze with the Champion category as he was on the San Antonio roster when they won the lockout year. He could shoot like Rice but had the athleticism of Ammo. Is the all time highest scorer in the Olympics and number 2 overall in World Championships.

But I couldn't go past the rim wrecker, Chocolate Thunder, Darryl Dawkins.

Hmm, my bad about Stackhouse. I'll take Rolando Blackman for Basketball Mecca.

Which cat Sachmo? He wasn't a lockdown and didn't win a title - did he?

Yeah he is on the Detroit Bad Boys roster.

He didn't play much because of injury but he was there.

I'm not so sure he won a championship. My lazy googling isn't producing any results.

In all honesty I just went through all the Championship rosters on basketball reference and found that he is listed on the 88 and 89 Pistons squad. Pistons won in 89.

I don't know that that means he gets in for a championship. I don't really feel like looking it up though.

I dunno the rules, I believe A Gaze got a ring with San Antonio even though he only played 19 games and was in the injury list for the playoffs etc

I can make another pick if need be, who can adjudicate?

Slam or Fats?

I guess technically he counts... he was on the roster of a champion, even if he never played for it.

It might not count historically though. San Antonio gives rings to everyone, Detroit I don't think even gave this guy a ring.

I've never heard of a team failing to give rings to everyone on the roster... that would be a pretty dick move.

I'm ok with it. We said in the rules to use BB Reference as the guide so if they have him listed, it's all good by me.

Cool I will leave it then, although there are a couple more decent centers in that Champion category.
