Oh god... Boris has decided that he'll play in France for Bordeaux Basket during the lockout, only problem is that it's a 2nd division club.

He started his career off there as a teen and has been the president of the club for some time now. He declined offers for more money from better teams and will play in Bordeaux for the minimum.

I don't know French, yet this is the source of the news if it helps:

^^^^^^^^^^

I think it shows great commitment from him & maybe he will shed some pounds having not had a break this offseason.

I love the pic on the their homepage....man he's chunky...lol

I agree about the committment, but the lack of a break gives me fears that he will be tired, and injury prone all season.

We lose in that trade though, definitely. TD is a downgrade. Fields isn't something we need specifically. We'd be hoping he'd start SF one day I guess?

TD is far from a downgrade. What he does is similar to Rodrigue Beaubois but he's better.

Douglas plays really good defense, he plays with a ton of heart, he can score just as effective as Ben Gordon for example. His passing has gotten better and you really can't base his game off of the playoffs because he was injured but this is an example of what he does.

Fields is good if you are playing a free flow style of basketball, he would get all sorts of looks on the floor. He rebounds at a high level, he plays good defense but due to his foot speed, he doesn't do a good job of defending guys once they get past him but he does alter alot of passes using his body getting in the way of a post up play or something which creates a turn over.

Fields can start at SF since he played most of that in college.

This is a CLEAR rebuilding year, so a tired Diaw would, strangely enough, be a good thing.
