Bargnani contract offer from Sutor Montegranaro

Post#1 » by RocLaFamilia » Sun Oct 2, 2011 4:50 pm

Emiliano Carchia: Sutor Montegranaro's sponsor, the shoe brand Fabi, will meet today Toto Ricciotti, agent of Andrea Bargnani and make its proposal for il Mago similar to the one made by Virtus to Kobe. 3-month contract worth $820.000. Fabi wants also Bargnani to be a testimonial of the company with a personalized pair of shoes to expand Fabi's brand more in Canada and USA.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

Honestly, he should be making way more than Kobe.

Imagine he gets a season ending type of injury and all of a sudden Ed Davis emerges into a star by avg 20/10

I wish they'd give him a life time contract.

so Bargs' 3 month offer is the same as Kobe's 3 game offer.

First of all, I don't imagine the benefit of an season-ending injury to any player on our roster. You certainly can't trade a seriously injured player. Secondly, if there is a season, Ed Davis isn't going to average 20/10. He's bound to improve, but that's a mid-career average for a player with a better overall skillset and possibly a better motor. I'd say 12/8 would be nice progress.

If this is tied to shoe contract, isn't Bargnani already with NIKE?

Well said.

Wishing for a season ending injury to one of our players is just well... really odd.

I never said I wish, Read it again dummy. ( Ozzy stop trying to earn respect by backing up lazy people who can't read everything. I clearly wrote Imagine he gets a season ending injury.)

No that is a possibility but not something I wish for. I hate to see people hurt. Anyway if you want to keep attacking me then have fun.

Getting back on topic, Sutor Montegranaro is a pretty small market, and I suspect this is a publicity stunt. More than likely Bargnani will end up with a major market in Italy.

If there is lockout and Bargnani will decide to play in Europe he should get better offer than this. Krstic makes 3million euros per year Bargnani > Krstic

Yup, this is for him to market their shoes, not play for the team. Isn't that odd that here in North America he is jeered and hated on, yet in Italy he is used for publicity stunts.

Why couldn't he have been traded? Or if Ed is doing this miraculous season of 20/10 the coaches would notice this and replace Bargs.

People are "jumping" at you because your first instinct was for Bargs to be hurt, so through deductive reasoning people would think that you want him to be hurt. It's like a Freudian Slip.

Also Bargnani is on this board pretty much hated upon, so this is why Ozzy/Dagger chose to go an extra mile to defend that point. So calling Ozzy a dummy just makes you look like your own comment.

I live in Europe and never heard of Fabi. It must be the Primo Pasta of footwear.

When you are imaging stealing something, you are sinned.
If there is no law (penalty), you will do it, instead of knowing this is wrong at the first place.
Therefore, everyone here believes that is not something he should be said at the first place.

Maybe I'm a bad person, but I kind of hope this happens too. Not that I want Bargnani to have a serious injury, rather, something like a pulled hamstring that will keep him out of commission for a couple months so that Ed Davis will get a chance to play major minutes at the 4 spot and get a chance to develop. Something needs to happen for BC to realize that Ed is the true future four, and not Bargnani.

You assume that Ed is that good, but this draft has 3-4 power forwards near the top who will be better than Ed Davis, and if we get one of them, I'd trade both Ed and Andrea faster than you can say Chapel Hill.
