It plays into it. Ask Boise and TCU.

They get screwed because their entire CONFERENCE schedule is bad though.

They should also consider scheduling someone because their cross division rival is Minnesota every year. Gag.

Otherwise, with the exception of this year, since the B1G is so down, it will be 4-0 non conference against patsies, zero to two losses in conference, and bowl game. Rinse. Repeat.

Why not schedule a traditional football school every couple of years to make things interesting? If they win they make a big jump in the polls and dont have to worry about voter perception.

Sure a school like Miami (for OSU) ends up not being great but its better than UNLV.

But, this is a debate for another time/thread.

Exactly. And "experts" have already mentioned how weak the B1G is this year.

Discussions like these are perfect examples of why there needs to be some sort of playoff system.

Bowl Games are the worst.

It's down, I'd say. Not enough down to compare with the schedules TCU and Boise played though. I don't even know if it is close. I still say the only way the Badgers get screwed over are if one of LSU/Bama and Oklahoma run the table. OKlahoma State and Stanford, possibly, but I think the Badgers will have enough big margin wins to overtake both, if they run the table.

Huskers DT damages property in airport

It turns out Nebraska's defense did some damage in Madison after all.

But rather than punish Wisconsin stars Russell Wilson and Montee Ball, one Huskers defender took on a less intimidating opponent: a towel dispenser in the airport.

Nebraska DT Chase Rome reportedly was cited for damaging a paper towel dispenser at the Dane County Regional Airport shortly before the Huskers boarded their flight back to Lincoln.

From the Omaha World-Herald:

The Dane County Sheriff's Office issued the ticket just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, said Elise Schaffer, a spokeswoman for the Dane County Sheriff's Office. The ticket carries a fine of $326.50.

I'll admit those paper towel dispensers can be annoying, especially the automated ones. But breaking one in the airport deprives everyone of dry hands. Not cool.

Needless to say, it was a rough night for Rome and the Huskers.
