I'm now sitting with the 5th waiver priority; I put in a request for Charles, dropping Decker, but I don't think there's anyway all 4 of the guys in front of me pass on Charles.

dang so you willing to pick up Charles just to keep him for next year? thats crazy man

No way he gets through unless everyone else in that league is as (Please Use More Appropriate Word) as the guy who dropped him.

If nothing else, I can use him as incentive in a trade later in the year. It won't matter though -- no way I get him.

Ryan Torian or Steven Ridley have to be up there, right?

yeah, I like Ridley if you have room to stash him. When the weather turns the Patriots will be forced to run the ball more.

Romo on bye, who do you like?

Sanchez vs. NE
Hassleback vs. Pitt.
Orton vs. SD
Kolb vs. Minn

Thoughts?

I would say Garcon for sure, I picked him up and started him this week in a few leagues already and what a return he yielded.

Problem is he isn't on the wire in most deeper leagues anyway.

With Rivers on a bye this week, who would be the best bet to grab at QB out of Cutler/Campbell/Bradford/Dalton/Painter and uh...eww.

Bleh. I guess I have to pick up Graham too if Blount is out. I could pick up Carter or Torain instead but I don't trust either of them.

Injuries and bye weeks suck!

Any advice on what D/ST to pick up for the week?

I'm currently holding the 49'ers, but am thinking about dropping them for the Redskins or Vikings...

edit: Went with Vikings.

I'd probably pick up Campbell I don't think you're going to get a big game out of any of the guys you listed but Campbell should at least help you tread water at the QB position... I'm holding onto Torain because I have the roster spot, but he's really just a speculation pick at this point in time...

Similar decision here -- Flacco (v. HOU), Sanchez (v. MIA), Smith (@DET), Freeman (v. NO), Grossman (v. PHI). Leaning Flacco. Not a ton of upside, but with Houston coming in without Mario Williams, Baltimore coming off the bye, and Flacco's success at home (only 2 picks at home all of last year), he seems like a decent play. Sanchez is my second choice, I think -- Miami is just brutal. I'm also starting Greene, so having Sanchez guarantees I get all of the Jets offense.

Im not a Sanchez fan, but I expect him to have a really good game this week.

Went the safe route with Flacco and got an OK 14 points. I'm up by 28 -- he's got Peterson, I've got Shonn Greene, the Jets DST, and a kicker from tomorrow night should I decide to pick one up.
