Bill Simmons and Jay Kang put together an idea of an 8 team, players-run league with the idea of co-captains of each team and then a snake draft of available players to fill out 10 per squad. So after the initial 16 co-captains, we'd have 8 draft rounds.

The reason I posted it here was to report on where Hawks players got "drafted" in this imaginary league.
In round #1, Al Horford went 3rd and Josh Smith went 5th.
In round #2, Joe Johnson went 7th.
They didn't go through the rounds 4-8 to fill out the benches, but 3 players in the league's starters, somebody likes us. Not bad at all.

SIMMONS: Rose/Amar'e take … Al Horford. The run on big guys is officially on! Also, this allows Amar'e to never worry about guarding anybody. I mean, ever.

sell high b4 scoutting catches up guys...
KANG: Dirk/Nash take … Josh Smith! Nash throws three alley-oops to Josh per game. Dirk doesn't have to work as hard (or at all) on the boards and Josh Smith finally finds his true basketball calling: playing with two white guys who make his life easier. He goes for 15-14 with 3 blocks and 2.5 steals every game. This team, by the way, sells millions of jerseys.

I think I will always regret that these last 7 years Josh Smith has played without a playmaking PG. Billy Knight's vision deprived us the fan of so many highlights not to mention depriving the franchise of marketing and potential financial value. If owners have memories he'll never work in the league again.

IMHO
Chris Paul is one point guard that we could have drafted would have made Horford+Smith work. Small ball or not.
