NLDS 2011: Dbacks (NL West) vs. Brewers (NL Central)

Post#1 » by Da Schwab » Fri Sep 30, 2011 4:34 am

This is the matchup that would have had people saying 'Seriously?!?' in April. The Diamondbacks complete the worst to first turn and win the NL West for the first time since 2007. The Brewers, on the other hand, had high hopes entering the season, but managed to win their division for the first time since winning the AL East in 1982.

Game 1

Ian P. Kennedy (21-4/2.88 ERA/198 Ks/55 BBs)

vs.

Yovani Gallardo (17-10/3.52 ERA/207 Ks/59 BBs)

I really want to see the Dbacks make a 2001-esque run and really start shocking people, but the Brew Crew's offense will be too much for em in the end. It also doesn't help that the Brewers are scary dominant at home. I'll take Milwaukee in 4.

The baserunning error in the 1st just killed the Dbacks. Gallardo was not ready until the 2nd inning
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change
