BLOCKBUSTER

MIA sends:
Steve Nash ($6,000,000)
Eric Gordon ($13,000,000)
Roy Hibbert ($12,000,000)

Total: $31,000,000

DEN sends:
Chris Paul ($16,000,000)
Jason Richardson ($7,200,000)
Kenyon Martin ($4,000,000)

Total: $27,200,000

$27,200,000*1.25= $34,000,000 > $31,000,000 so money works.

This is a hefty price for a VERY hefty player. Chris Paul, I had you once, I regret ever trading you away, but welcome home again. You, LBJ, Jsmoove will be the core for this team for the dynasty we're about to build. Jrich is one of the best clutch 3pt shooters in the league. He's also a solid defender and Kenyon will provide great energy. He's known for injuries, but since it's not a problem in this game, I gladly take him as Josh Smith's backup. Kenyon is a hustler and provides underrated defense in the post!! Good dealing, DEN.

DEN and SAC have a big trade to announce.

DEN outgoing:
Kevin Garnett $12,000,000
Steve Nash $6,000,000
Andrei Kirelenko $5,000,000
Joel Anthony $3,600,000
tota: $26,600,000

SAC outgoing:
Al Jefferson $14,000,000
Nicolas Batum S&t 7,500,000,
JJ Barea $3,687,000
total: $25,187,000

This may be our last major move. We add youth at the SF and PF positions and round out our team. Jefferson is 19/10/1.8 blocks and is only 26 years old. His defense has improved in Utah and he is one of the best post players in the league. Batum is an elite defender and the perfect fit at SF. Nice dealing SAC.

Kings agree. Love Nash and KG. KG will do great with Oden in the front-court shutting down the O. Nash will also teach Brooks as his mentor once again. Him and Klay in the back-court is very solid. Great dealin denver!

Trade 131

KINGS & KNICKS ANNOUNCE TRADE

Sacramento has sent Center Greg Oden and SF Andrei Kirilenko to the NY Knicks in exchange for Dorrell Wright and Brendan Haywood. The salaries work out with Sacramento sending $ 14.4M and getting $12.455M.

In accepting this deal, the Knicks said they could not pass on the prospect of a healthy Greg Oden paired with Amare Stoudemire. In Kirilenko, they get a SF who has played at an All Star level for many years in a structured system. Andrei is a great facilitator, outstanding on and off ball defender and will bring the leadership the Knicks believe will be the final piece to their championship push.

MIA sends:

Jason Richardson ($7,200,000)

PHX sends:

Shane Battier ($4,800,000)
Anthony Parker ($2,000,000)

$6,800,000*1.25 = $8,500,000 > $7,200,000 so money works. Jrich goes home to PHX and we will miss his clutch 3pt shooting, but I like this move because I can move grant hill to start at shooting guard and shane becomes my 6th man lock-down defender - known to keep kobe on his toes and can knock down the 3 on offense. shane's quite the gem for his basketball IQ...and I just love Duke Alums! Parker's a fiesty hustler (from playing with Verajao so much) and we like that. He can spot up shoot quite well as well. Great dealing PHX!

Phoenix accepts! Because of the logjam at the 2/3 we decided to create some space at the wings. Adding Richardson is nice, because he's a great scorer and 3-point shooter!
Hill on Nash going to the Lakers: “That’s like transferring from Duke and going to Carolina.”

Trade #133

Wolves-Nuggets

Wolves send:

Carlos Boozer $13,500,000
Brad Miller $5,104,000 (non-guaranteed)

Total: $18,604,000

Nuggets send:

Lamar Odom $8,200,000
C.J. Miles $5,000,000
Mickael Pietrus $3,000,000

Total: $16,200,000

Trade works. With Howard gone, Wolves continue to rebuild the team and by doing so the Wolves needed to move on without Boozer. His contract was a bit too long for what we are doing now. We also add a stud in C.J. Miles who will go great with the young core the Wolves have in place. Odom can come off the bench as well as Pietrus.

I really like Brad Miller as a backup C and mentor to Hibbert. Boozer will be moved shortly.

Trade 134
Houston / Denver Swap Stars

The Denver Nugget's have moved newly acquired All Star PF Carlos Boozer to the Houston Rockets for Andre Iguodala. In addition, Denver will get Boris Diaw and rookie Kris Joseph in exchange for SG Jason Terry and SF Nicolas Batum. Houston has $ 13,500,000, $7,500,000 & $4,600,000 = $25.6M incoming salararies. Denver has $13,531,000+$7,500,000 and $380,000 of new payroll totalling $ 21.421 (x 1.25 = 26.788M).

Houston wanted to upgrade their PF position, but hated to lose Iggy's versatility. However, the Rockets kept demanding and Denver refused to say no. With Nic Batum and Jason Terry being added to the mix the deal became too good. Ultimately, the Rockets had to say yes with 3 outstanding talents taking the place of their All Star SG. This deal makes the Rockets a better team and will pay dividends for a long time.

135: CHA and MIL have a trade to announce:

TO CHA:
Austin Daye ($2,958,077)

TO MIL:
2013 MIA 1st

CHA has over 5M in cap, and can absorb the extra salary.

CHA accepts. We were looking for a scorer, off the bench, at the 3, and that's what we got. He has great size, and I feel he is ready to have a break out year. We also only have to give up one of our 3 2013 1sts, so that's good as well.

Trade 137

Knicks & Rocket Deal

The New York Knicks have traded Andrei Kirilenko and Renaldo Balkman to the Houston Rockets for SF Nicolai Batum. Batum - a French National team leader and an emerging star is paid $ 7.5M while AK47 was recently signed to a $5M contract. With Balkman on and expiring $1,675,000 deal, the trade works under the leagues CBA.

The Knicks accept this deal as it brings a Young - lock down defender to their bolstered line-up and brings their roster back to 15 players.

Houston Accepts as they like the experienced leadership that Kirilenko brings and feel Balkman is a valuable backup who can bring defensive intensity to their perimeter. Batum was an outstanding prospect but was redundant with Thad Young slated to play 35+ Minutes / game.

MIA accepts. We lose some youth in giving up big Al, but get Pau Gasol. He's a bit older, but easily still a top 5 big man. He had a drought during the playoffs recently, but this summer he helped spain win the FIBA championship, so he's definitely back playing at a high level. Pau can stretch the floor to 15-18 fters and rebound and play great help defense alongside emeka, so we like that. Also, he's one of the best passing bigs in the game, and no team has won a championship without an elite big.
