Newhouse looked pretty solid at left tackle, but don't take it from me. Here's what ESPN analyst and former NFL offensive lineman Mark Schlereth tweeted during the game: " Newhouse is gonna be a star in this league at tackle I can't tell you how hard it is to switch from RT to LT and not skip a beat!"

:droop:

Sherrod and Newhouse both looked pretty good I thought. If both of those guys turn out to be players, our starting o-line could be:

LT: Newhouse/Sherrod
LG: Bulaga
C: Wells
RG: Sitton
RT: Newhouse/Sherrod

Love the beast mode at the end of the game.

I agree Sherrod and Newhouse held down the fort in the second half.

Don't know how effective Sherrod would be if D coordinators game planned for him. Hopefully the line stays healthy and Bulaga comes back next week.

I was screaming for him to take it to the house. If it was a game within 1 score then I would have wanted him to go down, but being up 11 with that much time left I wanted him to go all the way.

Agreed. Wanted him to house it. If he fumbled Atlanta has 20 seconds to make up a 9 point defecit.

Random observation: did Cobb get speared with a "leading with the helmet" tackle on a punt return? I guess its okay to that if you hit someone in the chest and not the head?

That's how I felt. Smart thing was to obviously take a knee, but for the fan in me I wanted to raise our scoring average and keep up our beast pace.

This team is flat out scary. I can't remember the last time I watched a Packer game, down 14, on the road, staying completely calm thinking "We'll be fine".
"didnt you watch the game with the raptors?bucks is also a playoff team ,they have enough ability to find wins from dalas and utach,
blow jazzs bitches and mavericks bitches out !"

We had to spot them 14 points and 140 yards to make the game more competitive, NBC and the NFL asked us to do it for ratings sake :P

The Vikings game at Lambeau in 2009, when we were down by like 21 in the second half.

I also wanted Bush to house it. After all the crap the Falcons talked in the offseason about us, I wanted to pour it on.
