Games Cancelled
At least 2 weeks of games and all the pre-season have been cancelled. This is going to kill the young teams like the Jazz that need the practice time together, especially with 2 rookies coming in. It is the worst thing that can happen to this young team. It favors the old teams like the Lakers, Celtics, and Spurs that simply do what they have been doing for years.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Re: Games Cancelled
It should actually benefit younger teams, compared to older teams.
I think Utah's a little TOO young to benefit from this, considering they're still 'baby' talent instead of 'young' talent. The Grizz and Thunder should do great though.
What I'm hoping is that Utah still has a season opening game. Utah also had a really crappy schedule lined up for them had the season started on time. If they reshuffle the games around, Utah might get a better schedule to play with.

I just hope that long term it is a good thing for the whole league.

Kanter seems to have a black cloud that follows him around.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Re: Games Cancelled
Missing games is NEVER good. I can't help but laugh at the notion that missing games is beneficial to anyone (healthy).

With Barclays opening up I think Deron will resign there. It's just too big of an opportunity to be a big time baller in a big time environment.

Re: Games Cancelled
The problem the Nets are going to have is that they are going to be playing sixth fiddle in New York. They will be the fresh face in town, but that won't mean a whole lot.
Yankees
Jets
Giants
Knicks
Mets
Nets
To be honest with you I don't see there being a huge following except people who aren't Brooklyn natives, living in Brooklyn who aren't Knicks fans.
He'd be wiser to go to the Clippers or Dallas. In LA he'd help be the missing piece next to Griffin and Gordon, or go to Dallas to play in his hometown, for an owner willing to spend money to support him, where in a couple of years he'll be the top dog as Dirk fades.
He would also have a very realistic chance of winning a ring in the next few years. He could also play with his idol J-Kidd. New Jersey is actually one of the worst places for him to sign.

Re: Games Cancelled
Ya I'm with Bat on this one.
I really don't think NJ makes sense for him. They're going to be rebuilding for awhile (they're not landing Dwight) and teams such as the Clippers or Mavs are much more enticing in all aspects.
Although I don't see him signing with the Mavs. I understand they're the hot thing right now and Cuban will spend the money but how much will Cuban be able to do after the new CBA? He could go there and really makes things happen for a couple more years but they're getting old... really old.
I've always felt that the Clippers made the most sense for him... the combo of Griffin/Gordon/Williams would be absolutely filthy.
