Why is this one even a debate? Pau didn't show up for the playoffs PERIOD

Re: K Ding: Gasol's post season performance an aberration
Mental fatigue seems to be the most likely explanation. He just seemed completely out of it, and it was evident long before the Mavs series. Physically I think he'll be just fine, although we could have certainly done a much better job of managing his minutes this past season.
That was a good read (except for the fantasy crap) and I believe Pau will come back strong next season. We have one, maybe two more runs left in us and I don't think we'll be squandering those opportunities.

Contrary to popular belief, his supporting was cast was quite underrated. No all stars but they were effective and tailor fit to Pau's game — much like Dirk's championship-winning cast. The difference is that, like you said, Pau is a 2nd option while Dirk has always been a one man gang going back to Team Germany.

Don't blame this on Dirk being good. Pau was playing better against Dirk than he did against Carl freakin landry. Pau's performance was on all Pau, had nothing to do with his opponents.

Exactly. Pau has the skill to go right back at Dirk. Dirk plays absolutely no defense & Pau is a well above average post player. He just mentally broke down & couldn't get it going. It doesn't take away from anything he's accomplished. Besides Dirk who else would you take in front of Pau @ PF?
